Advantages: Guaranteed job

Disadvantages: None

Ok I know the advert you are talking about, I think it’s the same place as I ‘ve been to. Let me break it down, I went for the interview after a telephone interview. The way I saw it was that I was being assessed for a guaranteed job in the IT industry once I have qualified. Towards the end of my face to face interview I was told the first half of my training would cost £2550 to become a qualified web designer. I questioned if I could do the whole lot they said it would be £5400 to do the professional courses and the final modules to complete the qualification would be free………………Yes FREE…don’t worry I double checked that one. Oh and then I went to do a test but see I thought that was there to make sure I had the cogs in my head turning, I saw this as a safety measure to see if I had enough about me to do this training. This is the rub, a friend I know failed it so its a genuine test of aptitude. The system clearly works they train people and place them with one of the companies they are associated with, I guess having been around for many years they have a reputation about them that makes companies want to recruit from them. Theyve placed everyone that’s qualified either as a network engineer or web expert. I think this is true as I bumped into a guy in the street who I had met while training who had nearly finished with his mate and both were in great jobs by UK IT training he said. They give you a guarantee of a job in writing or all your money back and they say they have never had to give anyone back there money.

I understand you must have spent time writing your story down, I worry that the time would have been better spent on job applications, it seems to me you are one of those people who goes around looking for negatives hence why your still unemployed now. Sorry mate that was uncalled for!!!!! You write well and personally I think you should start writing books.

As I see it and its in black and white in the training/job guarantees if they select you and you do the training you are guaranteed a job earning over £20k and I have met some who are earning this through this outfit. So I am happy and working through the course. Maybe you should think again.

Summary: £20K Guaranteed job

The review that originally stimulated Mr. Phelps to write his glowing opinion of UK IT Training Ltd. was the subject of another review by an insider - someone who actually worked in the company. It was very, very, damning stuff. They don't find "guaranteed" jobs. They make sure you never get to the point where you could invoke the so-called "guarantee". It has also been removed from the site. Why? Because sites like this are afraid of the 2002 Enterprise Act which makes naming and shaming illegal. If you go on to <www>.<certforum s>.<co>.<uk&g t; (sorry - for some reason some url's get mangled if you don't do this) you'll find stories about the fact that this outfit will not allow you to remove the contract from the building. My brother asked me to loan him the money, and I asked to see the contract. They said that this couldn't be removed from the building and I said that unless I saw it they would lose almost £6000. They said OK! Now... call me judgemental, but if you turn down £6000 because you don't want a legal contract to get into the "wrong" hands, now that is very, very dubious. He was not the only one. If you go to certforums, you'll see others who asked and were refused. The directors have similar operations training driving instructors, plumbers and (soon) inspectors for the Home Information Pack scheme (see WWW.HIPHIPHOORAY.COM). Same deal - guaranteed jobs, subsidised training. At last count, the HIP scheme was running into difficulties (have you noticed how 4 bedroom houses have suddenly become three bedroom with a study?) At most, they are short of 2000 inspectors, but there are 5000 already in training. Guaranteed jobs? ubsidised training? Do me a favour! Actually - do me a very specific favour... let my solicitor have a look at this contract! Stay well away.

Sounds like you work for this dodgy outfit. I've never heard anyone with a good thing to say about them or companies like them! Can you 100% say that you got a job through this lot? I don't think so...

Forgive me for being cynical but I have read so much bad stuff about this company, and frankly the costs are exhorbitant. For an IT company, their website is completely lacking and unprofessional too.
