Advantages: Loads of opportunites offered

Disadvantages: they can't seem to match qualifications to jobs

Okay, so I ring Vodafone, tell 'em how wonderful I am at my chosen degree subject - media and communication - and they say, "Hmmmmmm, I'm sorry, You're not qualified for marketing and communication... how about a job in engineering?". I'm sorry, I just don't get it Mr Vodafone. Has anyone else had this problem? Why do they think i am anymore qualified to be an engineer??? Wierd, v. wierd.

I'd have loved to have worked in the marketing department for britain's biggest mobile network but somehow, I can't see myself in their engineering department... can you?

Edwina - think yourself lucky!! Anyone that works for Vodafone will tell you that it is equivocle to working in a concentration camp. You really did have a lucky escape. Whoever the dunce was who answered your call - look upon them as a guardian angel!!
I have been there.. I work there I should know... its HELL ON EARTH at that company.
