My Verdict:

This truely is a leader in the market! Epilators have come a long way and the Braun silk-epli 7 is proof of that.
If you are holding back because you are afraid of the pain factor, you have nothing to worry about. A slight alien sensation is what I felt the first time it touched my skin but within a few seconds I was comfortablely epilating away.
The Epilator comes with a pack of Olay Pre-Epilation wipes that help prepare your skin for a cooler, soothing effect, adding to the luxury factor. However I've tried epilating without using the wipes too, dreading the worst but all was well.
The epilator can pick up 'really tiny' hair can be used in the shower and has an attatchment for the face too...what more could a girl ask for?


Product Claims and my Feedback:

1. High frequency massage: The high frequency massage system stimulates the skin and effectively soothes the plucking sensation during epilation to maximise your skin comfort.

What I Say:
Yes the massage feature really helps soothe the skin, I felt zero pain!


2. Pivoting head: The Silk-épil 7 Dual Epilator features a flexible head that can pivot by up to 15 degrees forward and back. This means it can better adapt to the contours of the body for more comfort and maximum thoroughness. And it ensures that optimum usage position is maintained.

What I Say:
True, I did manage to get into all the nooks and crannies, under arms, back of knees around the ankles, just to mention a few...

3. SoftLift Tips: The SoftLift Tips effectively lift even flat-lying hair and help guide them to the tweezers for removal.

What I Say:
Well it did mangage to get all the hairs, cant really say whether any of them were lying flat, but i'm guessing some of those must have been too lazy to stand up and needed assitance to the tweezers for the shock of their life!

4. Smartlight: The Smartlight helps easily guide your way through the epilation process and lightens up even the finest hairs for no miss removal.

What I Say:
Love the light, if you dont mind the buzzing tweezer sound (comes on as soon as you put the epilator on), you could probably use it as a torch.

5. Speed personalisation: You can select the right speed for your individual needs: Speed one for extra gentle epilation, speed two for extra efficient epilation.

What I Say:
I like acting hard, so always go for speed two, (well on the legs anyway). Speed one is great for the face!

6. The Silk-épil 7 Dual was designed specifically for epilation in warm water. Warm water is relaxing and soothing. The warmth improves your circulation and increase the comfort of your experience while making your skin less sensitive.

What I Say:
I haven't tried it in the shower yet, but looking forward to it anyway...wink...wink!

7. Close-grip technology
Braun's technological breakthrough makes epilating more efficient than ever before. The 40 tweezers have been engineered to close at the optimal angle and grip hair even closer to the skin for better removal of even the shortest hairs (0.5 mm).

What I Say:
Didn't really measure the hair, but yeah, I did have pretty tiny hair and most of them did get zapped!

Cordless use--fast recharge
The Silk-épil 7 Dual Epilator gives you the freedom to epilate wherever and whenever desired. Get up to 40 minutes of operation after just one hour of charging.

What I Say:
What they don't tell you is that the charger has a two pin plug, so you will need one of those universal adaptors or a shave plug thing, you can buy one for less then a pound, but its a little dissappointing when you want to start playing straight away with your shiny new toy and always cant. However it does be a little charged up when it arrives, so i'm guessing you can have a fiddle, but cant fully go to town!

Waterproof and washable
All Silk-épil 7 Dual Epilator models have a sealed body, which means they can be both used and cleaned under running water for better hygiene.

What I Say:
Since I haven't used it in wet conditions yet, I haven't really washed itunder the tap either. I does come with a little brush so I have used that to clean it with instead.

Five attachments included
The Silk-épil 7 7681 also comes with five attachments including a shaver head, a trimmer cap, an efficiency cap, a sensitive area cap and a facial cap, specifically designed to give you superior results in different areas of the body.

What I Say:
can't go wrong. I only wish I had this gadget a month earlier becase I actually purchased a shaving kit back then from superdrugs.

Having said all this and having super smooth and silky legs to prove it, I don't know if I can say the same for the face attatchment. I feel that this part of the gadget is still a little under developed and needs further research and improvement. I didn't seem to pick up the tiny hair dotted around my upperlip (Can't believe i'm actally sharing this!) and did leave that area a little red from repeated and frustrated attempts.
I haven't tried it on my face again after this, but am hoping to give it another go some time soon. Hence the four stars (one missing).

So overall a nifty little gadget to own for use around the body and looks good on the bathroom shelf too!
