“ Brand: Philips „
The Bikini Perfect by Philips is ideal for making sure you have an ideal bikin line while on holiday or travelling. I get my bikini line done before travelling at a beauty clinic however knowing that I would be away for the best part of five weeks meant that I wanted to be sure I could keep everything nice and trim below decks.
It can be a bit noisy when in use but that is not really a possible, the curved design makes it really easy to hold and manouveur which is very important indeed, it has a nice compact shape and is also very light so ity is ideal for travelling with. The charge time is between 8-12 hours based upon my experience, I think the variety in time might have something to do with the local electrical sockets as we were travelling about a bit, fully charged it is meant to give about 90 minutes of use which is plenty good enough for a number of shaves. It can be used wet or dry so can be taken into the shower or bath.
It comes with a number of attachments that means it can be adapted to meet your needs and this means it can be used as an epilator and on the bikini, eyebrow and leg areas as well as under your arms if needed.
The one tacky thing that is included are some stencils if you want to do a bit of topary, not my thing but each to her own. It is easy to clean after use and packs away neatly. In terms of the results well it certainly gets the job done however it is not the most efficient trimmer that I have ever used. Results wise I found that it lasted about two to three weeks which was plenty good enough for my trip but not something i would want to be doing on a regular basis. For the purposes of travelling it did the job satisfactorily.
I paid £32.99 for mine in a sale online which is not a bad price as I have seen it retailing at over £40 in some shops.
I would give this a cautious recommendation and especially if you want something for travelling with that has multiple uses however it is not the best that I have used.
I had been unsure for a while weather to get a bikini trimmer or to just go get it done professionally. However, after looking around online this Philips model didn't look too bad as it was an epilator and a bikini trimmer in one but it was more expensive than the other models out there. Philips are a good name though for things like this and this seem to offer that little bit more than the other items similar to it. I was eventually swayed by my curiosity and before I knew it the items had been delivered to my house.
This bikini trimmer is a kind of waves shape, all curved to make it easy to hold and it has a lilac border around it and a button on the top. It has the Philips logo on it and then the sharp area at the top where you can attach the different heads onto it. The items weighs just 136g which isn't heavy at all so it is very light and comfortable to hold while using this. The actual dimensions of this trimmer are 15.2 x 15.2 x 7.6 cm, again not too big at all and it is slim in shape so doesn't take up any room at all.
To begin using this trimmer, you will need to charge this up to make it portable. To charge this usually takes me up to a day (10 hrs) which does sound like a long time but once charged it can be used for up to one hour which is a reasonable amount of time, although still not a lot I suppose for the amount of charge time. The good thing about this trimmer also is that it can be used in and outside of the shower and it is made to either shape hairs, remove them or just to simply shorten them which is useful.
Another thing that I like about this is that it comes with a white carry case to keep all parts together. This even has little pouches to ensure all of the attachments have a specific area to go in. This trimmer has a silver ion comb for hygienic protection and it uses hypo-allergenic foil and it comes with four different combs. There are attachments for pecise and gentle trimming, a smooth shaver and an epilator, you also get heads for eyebrows, bikini and so on. It is quite compact in what it comes with but you are best to use the guard while this is on as it is very sharp.
When using this it is quite noisy when it is on but I don't know any kind of shaver that is quiet. The results while using this are ok, I wouldn't say there were amazing and I did find I had to go over bits a few times to get some kind of results. The weird thing with this trimmer is that it comes with stencils, very Essex style so that you can trim your private areas with a star shape and there are others. The epilator head is said to remove hair up to 4 weeks which I kind of agree with but maybe not so long.
The trimmer is easy to direct while on but for the stencils it is difficult to get an accurate shape if you want to use these. There is a cleaning brush with this kit to keep it all hygenic and clean. This is a good investment if you have the time to use it and can be bothered but it is quite expensive for what it is I feel. I don't use it as often as I originally thought I would but if you are going on holiday then it may be good to use this before you go and save money on waxing but otherwise I am not extremely impressed.
To buy this trimmer it is on sale at Argos for £40.99 which isn't the cheapest really but it is the best price I have seen for it so far.
