I generally stick to shaving or using hair removal cream as both methods are pain free however I received the Veet epilator for my birthday last year. I was really pleased with it as a gift as I had seen them advertised a lot but were too expensive for me to purchase at the time. It took me a couple of months to actually try the epilator and since trying it I haven't used it again!
The veet epilator comes nicely packaged in a box which is white and pink like all the veet products. You receive the epilator with 2 different covers for the head - one for using on legs and the other smaller for use on bikini area. It comes with a 40ml comfort epilation spray (to help with the pain) and a brush to clean the hairs off the epilator. You also receive a stand to place it in when charging and a see through netted bag to place everything in and keep them protected. The epilator is water proof so is safe to use in the bathroom. You can buy them online for between £40 and £60 (depending on the wesbite) which isn't that expensive when they come with a guaranteed 2 year warranty and it you wouldn't need to purchases razors or shaving gel anymore. You can also buy more of the epilator spray but the are around £6 a bottle which is pretty expensive for 40ml.
Using the epilator:
The epilator comes with an instuction booklet which explains with images how to use it correctly. I sprayed a small area of my leg with the comfort spray, switched the epilator on the slowest speed (it has two speeds) and began to use it. The epilator has 42 tweezers that spin very fast. I had used tweezers on my eyebrows before and the pain after a few attempts goes away but with the epilator it is completely different, The pain is unbearable even worse than waxing. The only way I can describe it is it felt like a was having shocks on my legs. I tried it a few times to see if it would be bearable after a while but unfortunately it wasn't and I gave up. It had removed a few hairs and a patch on my leg was smooth to touch but the thought of doing the whole of both my legs was unthinkable.
I know they say no pain no gain but for me I just couldn't bare it. The part of my leg that I used it on was smooth but unfortunately from my personal experience I can only give it one star.
