Willy Ice Tray
by bettyboop2002
I was debating buying these for my sisters hen night for a week or so, when a friend told me she was going to buy some for her Ann Summers party. We decided that at just over £3 a tray we would go halfs on 4 trays and use them for both nights and would have them for any future parties.
The trays are clear and contain moulds for 5 ... willy shaped ice cubes. We filled them up, stuck them in the freezer and waited.
When the guests arrived we gave each a drink with one of these ice willies in. The first thing we noticed was at nearly 4 inches long, it depends on the glass you are using, with small wine glasses these were a bit large.
The willies come out of the tray easier than I expected and we didn't have any breakages.
I thought they wouldn't last long in the drinks and would lose their willy shape not long after being put into the drinks but because of the size they stayed willy like for quite some time.
They do look good and float to the top and got some laughs but after one or two drinks each they were all gone and we had to go back to the trusty bag of ice cubes.
At first I thought they were a bit of a waste of time really as you would either need lots of these trays or to use cubes as well. My friend is thinking of freezing the willies and putting them in another container until she has a bag full of willies next time. I have a feeling the willies would get stuck together in a bag and break (ouch) when she tries to take them apart. This puts me off, as well as the fact that when organising parties I am usually too busy to think about refilling ice trays for days in advance and although they are a novelty item they aren't as practical as a big bag of ice cubes.
I was going to go ahead and use the trays for the hen night in any case but I have since seen somewhere that the tray can be used as moulds, so instead I am going to make a couple of bowls of chocolate willies. I did try one tray of chocolate willies and again they looked good and didn't break when coming out of the tray.
Overall
A fun, novelty item. I'm glad we bought them, as between my friend and I we will probably get quite a bit of use from them.
If you are going to use them more than once, they could be a good buy, especially if you want to use them as moulds for chocolate or jelly as well as ice cubes. It also depends on how much you want to spend, as we are hens on a budget I think forking out over £12 to make ice cubes would have been excessive and I'd rather spend the money on the drinks they are going in!
For ice, I think I'll stick to the cubes. They are a good idea for the chocolate willies as they don't take as long to set as water takes to freeze, so even with one tray you could make a few trays of chocolate willies. The novelty chocolate you buy doesn't always taste great so you can make nicer tasting willies with this tray.
For drinks I think willy straws would be better value and time saving than this tray though. Read the complete review |

Face & Fanny Towel
by kama0529
The Fanny and Face towel was bought for me for my last birthday by a friend who saw them for sale and thought they were very funny. While they are funny, I also couldn't help but think they were also quite practical and a good idea. I don't know how much she paid for them, but I have seen them online for £14.99 from ... www.find-me-a-gift.co.uk - which I think is quite a high price for a novelty item, but equally I would be willing to pay that amount because of the practical element.
The towel is a baby pink and white in colour. The top half of the towel is white with the word "FACE" stitched in baby pink, and the bottom of the towel is pink with the word "FANNY" stitched in white. It is a good size for a bath towel and measures 65cm x 115cm. It is certainly large enough for me to wrap around myself when I get out of the shower - and covers all of my "bits"! Although I guess the idea is to use the top half of the towel for your face and the bottom half for your nether regions, I have to say that I never use it in this way and I simply use it as an ordinary towel - but I do maintain that it is a good idea in terms of hygiene (I'm obviously not very hygienic!!).
The towel is fluffy and is very nice and soft and comfortable to snuggle into. When I have "towel time" which involves laying on my bed reading a book after a bath / shower, this towel is nice to have wrapped around me. However, in terms of absorbency, it could be better. Because it is so soft it doesn't have that roughness which I feel is needed for a towel to dry really well (which I think is why often the cheaper towels are more effective). I would say it's absorbency is mediocre.
The towel is machine washable and can also go in the tumble dryer. It does wash well and it hasn't become bubbly or frayed with repeated use and washing. So far I've owned it for about 4 months and it still looks as good as new.
Overall, this is a cute novelty item that has a practical element to it also. Read the complete review |

Hen Night Willy Water Pistol
by thehonesttruth
About a month ago, I attended a friends hen night. As all the girls gathered, we were all issued with the usual array of novelty items - sashes, shot glass necklaces, penis lollipops etc. One of the items we were all issued with was penis water pistols.
Approximately 10 inches long' with a straight shaft, bulbous bell end and ... a saggy old ball sack to act as a handle' there is no getting away from the fact that this thing is quite ugly and tacky. However given that this was a hen night rather than, say, attending a garden party at Buckingham Palace' the tackiness was suitable for the occasion. It's quite a detailed design, with the testes wrinkly and just that bit shrivelled looking, and a few well placed veins on the shaft.
It seems quite cheaply made - the small plastic trigger is very flimsy, and feels like it could be pulled out and broken very easily. There were also a few rough edges in the plastic. Then again, I suppose this isn't the kind of item one usually hangs on to after the event really, and for one night of squirting, it does the job. It's fairly easy to fill from a tap via a small capped opening, though it doesn't seem to hold too much water . It doesn't really fire with much force or in large amounts either.
It's quite fun initially, firing it off and making lewd comments as you do so, but due to it's small capacity and the need to keep refilling it constantly, I don't think it's really the best of hen night novelties, especially given that we were out on a busy Saturday night and a trip to refill it would involve waiting in line to get through the door of the loos. It just seems like it takes too much effort to keep the novelty going, and after refilling it once or twice we all got rather bored of filling them up and just used them whilst posing for photos .
I didn't pay for my pistol as it was provided by the maid of honour, however a quick glance online shows a wide variety of stockists, with prices averaging out at about £3.99. Personally, I think that may be a little steep for something cheaply made that will only really be used on the one night , and I certainly don't see any situation where I'll be wanting to buy one in future.
Overall, 3 stars - it is what it is, nothing more. Read the complete review |
