... husband bought me the Senseo coffee maker for a Christmas present 2006, I must say it was one of the best things he has ever bought me. I love my coffee and have used it most days and more than once a day since. It is still going strong! Solis Palazzo ... is a great super automatic. Firstly, the machine has a rapid steam feature which works perfectly and you can also choose which way round you want to Brew and Steam, either way works and the expresso is still good. One feature, they directly solved was having a shorter path for the expresso to travel, to get to the cup. Being only 2.5 inches in this machine, it means it doesn t cool down on the way to the cup. It is also pretty small and fits right into most places with ease, as well as being on a turntable, which is always helpful. This machine really has it all and is only around £300 to £400. Magimix Nespresso M150 ... am a self confessed coffee addict and seem to collect coffee machines the way other people collect china or whatever! The latest addition to my collection is the Nespresso M150, as I was craving a way to make decaff espresso, which none of the other pod systems offer! There are many Nespresso machines to choose from, depending on what you want it to do. I chose this one as I liked the top bit to heat up your cups, plus the arm to froth milk (or make a cup of tea it turns out!) On arrival, the box is massive, but well packed. Siemens TK 60001 surpresso S20 ... off I have to confess that this was a purchase that I never told the boyfriend the true cost of this purchase, I pretended I got it for £200 in the sales when actually I paid £320 about two years ago, it was still reduced as it was the last one in the shop but not by as much as he suspects. In my opinion it has definately been worth the cost and he has never grumbled about getting a coffee in bed at the weekend. On the plus side this does make an excellent cappucino, it is really easy to operate and cleaning is pretty good as well.
