This is a great little gadget that offers amazing value for money as an entry level coffee maker. The machine accepts filter coffee (without needing filter papers) and produces espresso that you can continue to dilute to your liking with it's hot water. It comes with a milk steaming function which produces really great cappucino froth. The machine comes with an initial recipe that works perfectly and with a few spoons of sugar, some filter coffee and skimmed milk you're set to produce espresso, late, cappucino or your own concoction!
This machine has a few catches, its fixed base with only a small cap to vend coffee so you will have to spend some time hunting cups that fit under it. It takes 30 minutes to warm up to the point where it can vend 2 steaming hot cups of coffee and there isn't enough room to fit 2 cappuccino cups on the base side-by-side.
All in all I'm happy that I spent my money on this and not a top end model.
