Philips Senseo:
... you try this you will be hooked. We got our fist Senseo when they came out. Loved the fact that unlike most coffee machines you only have a a couple of small bits to wash. The unit itself doesn t take up much space and they do look ok. My husband always had his Senseo coffee and I used to have my Kenco Decaf... then one day my decaf ran out.. so i had one of HIS senseo s...Well... I was hooked and if I have an... Philips Senseo ... bought this 2nd hand off of ebay for about £30, which I though was a decent price. I bought it so I could taste some coffee of similar quality to that found in Starbucks etc. So, does it meet those requirements? Well, i ve tried 2 the Brazil blend and it was pretty good - not quite as good as I thought it would be, although perhaps it d help if I added a layer of cream! The amount of drink dispersed isn t fantastic so you may need to use 2 cups, but that s just a minor inconvenience. On the plus side, it s very simple to operate - add water to the tank, place the pod (some of them are like tea bags and some look more like pods) into the slot, turn it on and wait a ... Gaggia Syncrony ... Syncrony Compact - have had this machine for about 5 years and it cost around £350. When it is good, it is very very good, but when it doesn t work, oh dear! The customer service at the Halifax depot where you have to send your machine to be repaired is appalling, and you have to pay over £100 for them to fix it, unless you take out the extended warrantee. Ours has been back three times in five years. You need to use filtered water in the machine as limescale build up can be a problem - although we used filtered water from day one and the depot still used this as a reason for it failing. The steamer nozzle can be hit and miss with its power producing varying r... Read the full review: Excellent Coffee (When It Works) by littlemisspolly |

Philips Senseo ... have owned a Philips Senseo for five years. The first lasted for four of those and then just gave up the ghost making strange noises. At the price they are it was not worth investigating repair, and my husband is a huge fan of the coffee it produces so, another was bought. I have just redeveloped a taste for coffee and find the pods for this machine are limiting in their flavours. Other than the three basic strengths they are very difficult to get hold of. I think that if you are happy with a quick, hot, predictable mug of coffee, this is a good machine for you. It offers good value for money, is neat and compact and easy to clean. I personally am looking for something... Read the full review: Its all about taste preference by dseazell |
