Advantages: Easy to use and clean
Disadvantages: Can only make two cups at a time
We have had one of these fantastic machines for about four years now. Sorry I can't remember how much we paid for it, but is was farily expensive at the time. We love it and use it every weekend to make delicious cafe style frothy cappuccino.
The machine itself is neat although quite heavy - not taking up too much space on the kitchen worktop, it is very very easy to clean, with all the parts coming to bits to enable easy washing, and it is extremely easy to use, once you have mastered the technique, which only takes a few attempts!
I would recommend using a milk thermometer and not allowing the milk to get above 80 degrees as if it is allowed to get hotter this seems to detract from the flavor of the coffee. Also an aluminum jug for heating the milk is a big advantage, I don't know why but this seems to heat and froth the milk better that a china or glass jug and it also keeps it hot longer!
Coffee that is suitable for filter machines is the best to use, i.e fairly finely ground.
Coffee cups are not supplied with this machine, but these can be easily purchased. One disadvantage is that yo can only make two cups at a time, although the water reservior holds water to make many more.

- 20/05/09 Welcome to Dooyoo.
A good start here. Some info could be added here for buyers such as:
How much was it?
What kind of coffees can you make with it?
Is it easy to clean i.e. its a traditional coffee machine so it uses a tamper - all parts easy to wash, disassemble, dishwasher proof?
Does it take a lot of water?
Does it have a milk thermometer you get with the machine?
Is it noisy in use?
What are the settings/controls on this machine?
Is it heavy to place? Or lightweight?
Do you get the cups as you see in the photo on here?
Adding info isn't compulsory but it would boost your review over the minimum word content. If you update your review or need help please message me.

(PS I used to work as a Barista - an ideal milk temperature is around 120 to 140 degrees Centigrade - milk starts to sour and go rotten past 160 whilst boiling milk at 80 won't warm up very much) |
