Firstly you must swich on the machine to heat up the water, add the coffee to the hopper and tap it down, the fix the hopper into place, flick the switch to pump the water through the coffee and flick the steam switch on, wait for the correct temperature and then once heated a further 2 mins to froth the jug of milk to the correct temperature. This was bought as a present two years ago. It is one of the best things I own. It is no frills simplicity so there is very little to go wrong on it. It is used twice a week every week and I have perfect coffee everytime.
