Advantages: Excellent machine of great quality, Easy to use, Works brilliantly - clever little thing

Disadvantages: Stick to froth milk doesn't really work, All expensive stuff!

This machine is a 'Nespresso' coffee maker. It is very professional and makes superb coffees but it's not the simplest product to buy. You need to buy special coffee pods separately, which can be bought online although they are cheaper in the shops.

You can buy a variety of coffee pods for the machine, which are all of different flavours. You simply stick the pod in the top by lifting up the handle. After switching the machine on for it to warm up, you can pull the leaver foward on the top, which starts the flow of coffee. The machine makes a rather loud noise (like any coffee machine) as it pours the coffee at a fair speed.

You should place the cup on the silver tray below, which has holes to let any excess drain into the bottom to be emptied later. This whole compartment slides out so it can be emptied. The clever bit is that when you insert a new coffee pod, the old one falls back into a storage compartment when you lift up the handle. It all works very well and is extremely easy to use.

There is a container on the back, which simply sits on the back where water is stored. You can take it off after a simple lift to fill it up. It never warms up when you switch the machine on but the machine sends through boiling water with the coffee, which is a mystery I will never understand. The machine also has a stick to froth up milk, although it doesn't really work very well. It seems to squirt out water and not actually do much else rather than water down the milk.

Overall, it is an excellent machine that was well-worth the purchase. It makes excellent professional coffees in an instant. The only drawback is the price of it all as the machine costs around £155 in black or silver/black and the pods are around 20p each but you buy them in long tubes.
