Good coffee/espresso machine for those who like dark drinks (Krups CaféPresso 10 Plus)

Advantages: full bodied flavor from even the cheapest of coffees

Disadvantages: no steam left after brewing espresso to heat or froth anything(especially fresh cold milk)

I have the predecessor to this fine product at home and let me tell you it makes a wonderful cup of coffee. they haven't changed the overall design from the older model to this one. it does what you need it to do for under 700usd. the downside of the product is that the water resevior for the espresso side is quite small and then you're done brewing the espresso you have nothing but a small trace of steam left to heat the milk. it froths pretty well but if you put ice cold milk and hot espresso together even if you used the whole thing which equates to 2 espresso cups worth the milks temperature will leave you nothing but a cold strong drink...this machine doesn't burn any of your coffee and i've had mine and had krups brand machines for years. for you staright coffee drinkers(no cream no sugar) it makes a nice strong brew of your favorite roasts unlike a regular household coffee pot which just pours hot water over coffee, this one pours most of the hot water onto the grounds so that it stews like a tea extracting all the flavor and then when it gets heavy enough it drizzles out to the decantor. all in all a great coffee/espresso machine but you'll have to pre-boil or microwave your milk for a capuccino that's actually hot enough to enjoy. i personally don't use the steep device on the side for anything because i would have to refill the water reservior and then start over and that would take a while after that the espresso would not be as fresh.

Summary: good replacement for a regular coffee machine that's good for your dollar
