reasonable compact simple to use but difficult if not impossible to clean inside. Unreliable and exp

I have had this machine for almost 3 years. The coffee is good. The machine is very bossy and you have to follow the instructions and getting around them can be very difficult so never attempted. When filters or cleaning are required the machine informs you. This appears to relate to number of uses rather than need. Very clear and simple instructions are given on each occasion.

The water filters are expensive at around £10 to £12 each and I get through around 6 per year.
It is very simple to operate but noisy. The coffee is well ground and it has an adjustment for finer ground coffee. The froth is of medium quality but is surpassed by Jura a more expensive machine. Making frothy milk takes time and effort so I have only used this once it was ok but nothing great.

The machine is also rather messy and tends to leave coffee grounds on the work surface my machine also has leak moments so we now keep it on a tray to catch this. It looks fine and all our guests do appreciate the coffee taste. It does feel and look rather plastic and cheap which it is not.

At the price (around £500) of this machine I would expect much greater reliability. It was sent back once under guarantee. The service was very efficient. Now twice in the last year each return incurs a fixed price of just over £100 including pick up and return so with repairs and water filter around £260 this last year. I simply cannot recommend this machine with sort sort of reliability.
