This produces a much less bitter coffee and obviously it is the coffee grind itself that creates the different flavours, I believe that this machine helps produce a smooth filtered blend. I got this espresso machine as a wedding present, but know that it retailed at the time at £150.00. I wanted a good coffee maker, but not something that would be very costly. I (and my wife!) are both very happy with the quality of the coffee from this machine. The machine produces a very nice crema on the espresso and does not burn the coffee grind as so many of the big machines do in large chain coffee shops.
