Aeroccino burns milk that sticks and is a pain to clean. Spoils otherwise great product (Magimix Nespresso M100)

Advantages: Good coffee- easy to use Disadvantages: Cleaning of aeruccino is difficult We have had a magimix 100 espresso machine for just under year now and I have to say the Nespresso coffee range for this machine is excellent. Our buying decision was swayed heavily by the offer of a free Aeroccino milk kettle/frother. The combined units look good in a modern kitchen. With a liking for lattes and cappucinos we use the Aeroccino unit a few times a day. Like the Magimix machine it is easy to use, and heats/ froths up the milk almost silently and in under two minutes. However, we find the milk, skimmed or semi skimmed, burns and sticks to the inside base of the non- stick interior surface of the Aeroccino, and its a real pain to clean it. We sent the first machine back due to this and Nespresso to their credit replaced it - no hassle. Unfortunately, the second unit performs the same. Not-good-enough for a premier product in my opinion. ALso witha captive market for the coffee pods Nespresso seem to raise the price at will. About a 10 percent increase on some products in a year (2009) of very low inflation. Think on four cups a day of a popular pod is over £33 per month. Summary: Buyer be aware of cleaning difficulties and rising coffee pod costs
