Once you try this you wont go back to instant coffee (Philips Senseo)

Once you try this you will be hooked.
We got our fist Senseo when they came out. Loved the fact that unlike most coffee machines you only have a a couple of small bits to wash. The unit itself doesn't take up much space and they do look ok.

My husband always had his Senseo coffee and I used to have my Kenco Decaf... then one day my decaf ran out.. so i had one of HIS senseo's...Well...

I was hooked and if I have an ordinary instant coffee... it just tastes yuk.
So I am now hooked and won't go back.

The machine itself is very simple to use. First fill the water reservoir at the back pop it in. Switch on the front of the machine by pressing the centre button and it will flash until the water is ready. This procees only takes about less than 2 minutes.

I usually heat a cup of milk in the microwave whilst the machine is heating up.

Once the machine is ready, you lift the lid at the top and pop in a Senseo coffe pod. There are other pods available. Lidl have there own selection which are excellent.

Once the pod is in place, close the lid and then press the button with the single cup.

The machine will make a noise as it pumps the water throught the pod. It isnt' very loud so won't disturb anyone.
The machine pumps the coffee through and the coffee has a slight frothiness similar to any well know coffee shop.

You can if you want sprinkle choc on the top for a proffessional touch.

Then sit back and enjoy...

The machine can make 2 coffees at once by pressing the right hand button. You will need to change the pod holder to the double size to put in 2 pods or a special mug size pod.

I would recommend that if you want to make a lovely coffee then half fill a mug with hot milk, then use one pod to make a full mug of coffee by only using one pod.

Great range of pods available, most shops stock them. Other variety and flavours available on-line.

I would say this machine is great. I always take one on holiday.
It is so quick and easy to use unlike conventional coffee machines.
Yes the pods are more expensive than a jar of instant. But compare the taste and Senseo wins hands down. Plus if you have just one shop coffee that would pay for a bag of pods....

So bargain. Everyone says that we make great coffee when they come round. Which is nice... .. or is that the only the reason they come round.. just for the coffee...LOL
