Gaggia Titanium
by pezzer
The offices machine, can one ask for more! It's great to come in to the office, and use this machine first thing in the morning.
The Aesthetics - Quality speaks for it self, and this is top notch. Beautiful to look at although somewhat out of place in the office. We have about 10 different machines scattered around! But this ... is by far one of my favourites!
The Usability - Piece of cake, or that's what accompanies my coffee! It's so easy, and quick! The buttons on the front make it a charm to use!
The Quality - Superiority comes to mind. A beautiful build, which despite the 200 or so coffees made a day, it looks brand spanking new! The coffee however - is what you put in you get out!
The Reliability - I've never been without a coffee, and it's still the original machine.
The Summary - A coffee lovers dream! Combine with the finest of coffee and become a connoisseur Read the complete review |

Gaggia Syncrony

Gaggia Syncrony Compact - have had this machine for about 5 years and it cost around £350. When it is good, it is very very good, but when it doesn't work, oh dear! The customer service at the Halifax depot where you have to send your machine to be repaired is appalling, and you have to pay over £100 for them to fix it, unless you take ... out the extended warrantee. Ours has been back three times in five years. You need to use filtered water in the machine as limescale build up can be a problem - although we used filtered water from day one and the depot still used this as a reason for it failing. The steamer nozzle can be hit and miss with its power producing varying results with the frothed milk. On the positive side the coffee it produces is lovely with a nice crema and I Love the fact it grinds from fresh beans (althogh you can also use ground coffee), and it is so much nicer than instant, which as a result of getting this machine, I can't drink any more! The machine can make two cups of coffee at once.
It can be a bit of a pain to clean out the coffee grounds but you get used to the routine. I would also recommend descaling as per the instruction booklet once a month to keep it in good order.
I would not buy a Gaggia again based on my experience of this machine.
UPDATE 14.09.09: It appears that Gaggia UK have gone bust and the Halifax Service Centre is no longer in operation - which calls into question the provision of service and parts. I would suggest looking into this before you make any purchase. Read the complete review |

Gaggia Titanium

yummy! theres nothing like waking up in the mornig to the sweet smell of expresso. this is hands down one of the greatest expresso makers ever!. but is a little bit over priced. but its worth every penny to wake up in the morning and sip this faboulas expresso with a fresh cresant.
a little large so good if you have a large ... kitchen! the titanium exterior is gorgeous. but it di get dirty easily. the design is not to complex just a few buttons and youve got expresso. the removable water tank is very handy when filling and the tank is large so you dont have to fill it often unless your like me and drink 10 cups a day. : D
Overall i would recommend this expresso maker for anyone who need s a simple machine that will get the job done. also when buying this item think about how it will fit in to your kitchen because it can often be to large for some counters. Read the complete review |
