Advantages: A model complexion
Disadvantages: I would prefer a pump dispenser
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation.

Product Information:
For all skin types;
Keeps skin looking fabulous, breathing comfortably through heat, humidity and activity without changing colour, fading or coming off on clothes. Natural matte finish and SPF10 sunscreen to protect skin.
I purchased this foundation, last summer, from Boots following the recommendation from the sales assistant. I was looking for a change and wanted a foundation that would last throughout the day. Working in a hospital, I get very hot and often find my makeup has disappeared half way through my shift. I also wanted a foundation that would give me a glowing complexion and hide any wrinkles that may surface. Maybe I was looking for a miracle, but why couldn't a hard working midwife look like a film star. Anything to keep my poor women's mind away from the pain they are suffering in order to bring a new life into the world!!

The Estee Lauder sales assistants are deemed professionals and take time to assess your skin type and tone. She carefully chose a colour which would match my skin tone (there are 19 different colours) and I must say I am delighted with her advice.
The foundation goes on smooth and has great coverage leaving my skin with an even, natural finish. The foundation also lasts all day, but not only lasts it looks fresh and flawless throughout, almost as if it has just been applied. It doesn't have a scent to it and doesn't aggravate my skin and appears to keep my skin well moisturised rather than drying it out which I have found with other foundations. My face feels light rather than that caked on feeling, as though I were on stage performing. I have also found that it doesn't rub onto my clothes. There is nothing worse than seeing makeup on the collar of a woman's (or maybe man's) jacket!! Being pale (and interesting) I have often applied far too much foundation giving that mask like appearance, but because Double Wear has such good coverage you need to apply very little and it really has that natural finish whilst covering all your blemishes and the odd wee wrinkle.

An added bonus is the SPF (sun protection factor), which is very important in preventing sun damage and wrinkles. When you get to my age you really start to worry about wrinkles!
I have found this foundation to be good value for money it lasted me over six months. Stupidly because I ran out of foundation over christmas time I bought a cheaper brand and wish I hadn't bothered. Living in Aberdeen has rubbed off on me (they are renowned for being tight with their money) so I feel I have to finish this cheaper brand but I will definately return to my Doublewear.
This makeup lasts so long and the coverage is so good, that it is worth the extra money. It cost me £21.50 in Boots for a 30ml bottle in June last year. I have just checked on the website and it is £23 in Debenhams but they are doing a 10% discount this week so if you get a chance go and buy some.

One thing I would recommend when applying this foundation, rather than using a sponge or your fingers, use a foundation brush. It is very like a paintbrush and allows you to apply a small amount of foundation and applies best if you brush downwards to give the even coverage. When using your fingers or a sponge you tend to use far too much foundation. Put a little foundation on your hand and then dab on your face with the brush, then apply. Remember to thoroughly wash your hand afterwards or you will have a circle of foundation on your hand all day. You must also thoroughly cleanse your face before bedtime. This foundation really has a good cover which lasts.

Estee Lauder do sell a foundation brush for £25 but you can get cheaper brands.

My only complaint about the foundation would be the bottle itself, I would prefer a pump dispenser. Sometimes I have tipped out far too much onto my hand and struggle to get it back in the bottle (again that's probably the Aberdeen meany coming out)!
I highly recommend this product.
Enjoy
Helen
Summary: Lasts all day giving you that just applied look
