This has to be my favourite foundation, it has everything I want and need in this type of product.

I first started buying it when I started earning my own money, at almost £24 a pop for 30ml this wasn't something I could afford to try out on a college student's budget! I needed something that would stay in place all day and would be durable for work, and I didn't want to have to faff around with my makeup too much during the day.

I did a bit of online research for durable foundations and this was one of the ones that had pretty good reviews so on my next trip to boots I spoke to the very helpful ladies at the Estee Lauder counter and they tried a few shades on my skin to see which suited me best, I went for the Shell shade.

This is sold in a square glass bottle with a gold screw cap, very in keeping with the grown-up style of Estee Lauder products.

The consistency of the foundation is quite thick, and I find that this is best applied with a foundation brush as it smooths and blends easier than only using your fingers or a sponge. I tip the bottle onto the back of my hand and pick it up from there with the brush, then any leftovers I can scrape off my hand back into the bottle.

The only thing I would change about the packaging is the dispensing method, it's quite literally a glass bottle with a hole in the top once you've taken off the gold screw cap. It would be nice to see this with some sort of squirt-dispenser to make it easier to control the amount dispensed.

Once applied, this makes your skin feel silky and has a matt appearance, but most importantly, it doesn't budge until you come to take it off! (I use a powder on top of this to 'set' my look). It also has an SPF of factor 10 which is great for offering some sun-protection in the summer time.

Using this every weekday for work, one bottle lasts me about 3 months, which I don't think is bad for the initial outlay.

Summary: Great for all-day wear
