Advantages: Applies effortlessly!

Disadvantages: Slightly on the pricey side

I m a huge fan of Estee Lauder products and I struggle to pass one of their counters without taking a quick look! In this case, my mum purchased this product and recommended it to me as she really liked it.

** The Product **
As with most Estee Lauder products, they come packaged in the loveliest way and this is no exception. The box is a slim, navy blue rectangular shape in the classic style colours they use which are deep blue and gold. On the outside, the box contains information about Estee Lauder along with the product name and colour which in this case is Midnight Blue. There are a vast array of colours available to suit every skin complexion but I felt this one was the best suited colour to me. Inside the box is the pencil itself which will come in the colour you have bought, so mine appears to be mostly blue. It has a gold removable lid on one end which has the pencil underneath and a clear removable lid on the other end which protects the smudging foam end. On the actual pencil is more information about the product, along with Estee Lauders logo, again in their lovely gold colour.

** Using the product **
You will notice when removing the gold end that the pencil is perfectly sharpened to a lovely point which creates a great base for applying the eyeliner. I was surprised at how thick it felt when applying it, but also at how creamy it felt. This texture allows for a really effortless application onto my eyes as it glides along really easily and doesn't repeatedly get caught on the skin as I have found with other products. Also it seems to be a somewhat versatile pencil as it is relatively easy to create both daytime subtle, and more dramatic looks for evening wear. The richness of the colour means that you don't have to use a great deal of product on each application and it doesn't require you to go constantly back and forth with it. The foamy end is a great addition as it really helps finish off the application of the pencil as you can easily blend the lines to make a more natural appearance. Overall it has all the tools to help you make the most of your eyes! As it is a 'stay in place' eyeliner, that is just what you would expect. I can apply it in the morning before leaving the house and return home with it looking as fresh as it did when I left. The colour may not appear quite as rich but I would expect that, and in the same sense it hasn't faded so much so that it requires reapplication. Better still, it doesn't smudge or run at all which is a problem I have had with other products in the past.

** Pricing and availability **
This eyeliner will set you back around £16, which is very pricey admittedly, but it is in proportion to Estee Lauders pricing in general. You may find that prices vary online, depending on where you look but they should be around that mark. I bought mine from my local Debenhams, but you should find them at most department stores as well as certain Boots stores.

** Summary **
I really love this product and I use it most days never having any problems with it. Estee Lauder are a fabulous and this eyeliner is no exception. I would definitely recommend it anyone who has issues with eyeliners that rub off or smudge, or simply anyone who is looking for a decent eyeliner. I am giving it 4 Dooyoo stars and it is losing a star purely on the pricing side of it as I think it is a lot of pay for an eyeliner, especially if you buy it more regularly and not just as a one off purchase. Although nonetheless, a great product!

Summary: I love this eyeliner!
