Advantages: instantaneous results, Good for Oily Skins, Excellent base for make-up

Disadvantages: Very Expensive

Going on name alone I wouldn't have bought this product, however I received a trial size of this in a 'goody bag' and have been a devotee ever since.

If like me you think 'refinisher' is a fancy name conjured up by Estee Lauder's marketing Department then you?d be wrong -and here comes the science bit - it is actually a non-acidic skin cream that due to its "unique skin-refinishing complex" continually smoothes the skins surface. The product contains LOTS of different ingredients, including lots of botanical extracts and my favourite green tea. I like green tea as an ingredient as it helps to diminish the flushed appearance of my face whilst also being gentle enough for my sensitive skin. The 'key' ingredients as far as I can see though are the marine products, which are included to reduce shine.

So why am I such a fan of this product? Well it has nothing to do with the packaging. Which is a small greenish bottle. The bottle is a pump action though so this will help to reduce lots of nasty germs getting into bottle. As we so many things it's the actual product that is the star. On you hand the product is a semi-opaque cream which to be honest doesn't look particularly appealing to apply to your face. However when you apply it (by smoothing a small quantity - 2 pumps max.) the effect is instant.
The refinisher absorbs instantly to leave your skin wonderfully matte, shine free & very, very smooth. My foundation just glides on which is fantastic.

As I have at times very oily skin I was sceptical that this would keep my face shine free & matt all day long. However I've worn this for a good 8-hours at a time and have found myself only to have a slight shine on my forehead!

The product also claims to help with uneven skin tone, which unfortunately it doesn't seem to help with. Perhaps if you use it everyday then it would help and herein lies the only disadvantage of this prod
uct - it is SOOOOOOO expensive. A small 30ml/1oz bottle cost £30 which by my reckoning used every day (daytime only) would probably only last you 2 months at the very maximum.

Despite the price this is an excellent product, which gives instantaneous results.
