Advantages: Brightens Skin, Non Greasy
Disadvantages: Expensive, Coverage not good
I am a huge fan of Estée Lauder products (apart from their price!) and am always seduced my intriguing new items that they sell. After bemoaning to the assistant about my uneven skin tone and lack of 'pizzazz' to my skin she recommended that I try their Spotlight Skin Tone Perfector. This is a sheer flesh coloured lotion that contains millions of micro-prisms. The idea of these is to reflect light, thus reflecting away from any nasty imperfections in the skin and helping to make the skin look brighter. Like all Estée Lauder products this product is fragranced with a definite, but delicate floral scent. It certainly doesn't distract from the job in hand and the perfume also doesn't linger which for me is a definite advantage. To apply the lotion you get a small blob in you hands rub you hands together and them smear the fluid onto your skin. The lotion goes on really well and is very light and non-greasy. I have very oily combination skin and I was pleasantly surprised have well in sunk in. It also left my skin feeling smooth which helps massively when applying my foundation. Unfortunately the product doesn't do what is says on the tube or more importantly what the assistant sold it to me on - which was to help with my un-even skin tone. Admittedly I haven't been using morning & night as advised by Estée Lauder. But, I would have liked to have seen some improvement in skin tone since I have persevered using product daily for 6 months! The product does brighten your skin. However due to the red undertones used in the colouring of the fluid some people may find themselves to have a very pinkie sheen on there skin. Overall an okay product that doesn't perform to its specifications, which is particularly disappointing due to the manufacturer and price. I would urge anybody on a budget to try one of the cheaper own brand 'radiance balms' which will give the same brightening results
