I can't remember how long I've had this hard drive. Probably over a year now. And it's never let me down. It's just as good as an internal hard drive, but easier to set up. Just plug it into the mains and into a spare USB 2.0 slot on your PC. There's a disc that comes with it, but I didn't bother with this. The hard drive is plug and play and the drivers should be automatically installed by your OS on first use. I have this turned on whenever my PC is turned on and put all of my files on it. This is a fantastic storage solution for everybody and anybody!. Running very quietly, needing only a spare USB port and a plug outlet, this item has been in constant use in my study-so much so that I recommended it for work as well. You do not need any special software to run it-drivers are included on a CD but it's really a simple plug and play device. There is a power button on the back and a blue light shows on the front panel when active. Transfer goes at the usual standard rate. 500 GB is usually ample for home use and you should be able to pick it up for a fairly good price (check out some price comparison sites for the best deal) as, like all storage ...
