I've owned two of these drives through work. One of them (500gb) has been fantastic and lasted years even though I cycle into work every day so it gets a real shake up!
The other one (320gb) was great until I dropped it and it died. It was replaced very quickly since it was still within warranty but the files could not be recovered.
I still think they are good drives but rugged really means they can be bashed about a bit in a bag not dropped on a concrete floor!
My advice to anyone with important files is to have two back ups. All drives have a chance of breaking down so if you can get two then hedge your bets and have a back up for your back up!
Other than the one breakage both drives have been excellent - easy to use, sturdy feeling and fast on file transfers.
The usb cable tucks very neatly into the body of the drive but is very short (less than the length of the drive) If a long usb cable is important to you then this drive might not be the one you choose.
