... of LaCie hard drive is no exception; it has a sleek matt silver casing which is made of aluminium. This is what makes LaCie a quality product; it is extremely hardwearing and long-lasting. It is very heavy, about 1kg in weight and I think this again highlights the quality that has gone into this hard drive, it could definitely not be described as flimsy. This is a compact and inconspicuous size for sitting on top of your desktop pc, being approximately 20cm x 10cm x 5cm.

I now have two of these beauties at work due to having to handle very large file formats (.cod, .xtf etc). We bought this LaCie Grand Hard Disk about eight months ago when we had to transport a lot of files from a client across the country. I was not only looking for an external hard drive that had a hard and reliable memory capacity, but was going to be durable during transport. The Lacie external hard drives have a good reputation from my research before purchasing one of these of being reliable and long lasting.
