I bought this to store my films and use it for time machine backups on which take up quite a bit of space. It's USB 3.0 capabilities really helped with that as using 2.0 would've taken days whereas the 3.0 takes mere seconds in comparison.
The device itself is incredibly solid and sturdy, I've dropped it a few times and even spilled a mug of tea over it and it still runs perfectly well (not that I'd recommend doing that, but it's nice to know it can take a beating). The metallic finish feels good in your hand and doesn't scratch easily which is also a good point from those who like their gadgets to look aesthetically pleasing.
It isn't heavy or obtrusive, it's actually surprisingly small for the amount of storage you get in it, it definitely packs a punch! The cable is a bit fiddly though, it's rather thick and doesn't agree with being bent easily.
Price wise I got it for £80-something, I felt it was decent enough as I knew with a terabyte I wouldn't run out of space any time soon. Therefore I'll say price wise it's definitely worth what you pay for it.
