Advantages: Tough, easy back up,

Disadvantages: Noisy drive read

I have had this drive now for year and it is still going strong and has never caused me any problems, in fact i once dropped the unit whilst on my motorbike heading to work (i did not seal up my bag pack completely, the zip worked loose and the rest is history). I assumed the drive would be destroyed however although the case was very battered, to say the least after a 60mph impact, when i plugged the unit in everything was fine! Ofcourse do not buy this drive thinking it is invincible!
There is software that is pre installed on the drive for you to use which allows you to simple press the button on the drive and it will back up your work for you, hence the name one touch backup.
As far as performance goes the drive spins down when not in use and i cant find a way to stop that, this creates a few second delay when you go to browse through the files you have stored on the drive.
It is quite loud for an external hard drive but not loud enough to bother most people, this is only noticeable when the drive is in use and being written too as it is fairly quite when being read.
The hdd is also powered which also leads to very fast read and write speeds for a usb 2.0 hard drive, if you need any faster than this your not really going to get it with a usb 2.0 cable and i would suggest firewire 800 or better yet a thunderbolt cable but, at least for the moment, these are mostly found on mac computers rather than PC's.

Summary: A decent hard drive for a good price
