Advantages: Great speed - Easy to use - Good value

Disadvantages: Short Cable (but can be easily and cheaply replaced)

I bought my Seagate expansion drive (320Gb) last December for around £25. I was a bit dubious at first because I saw a couple of almost negative reviews saying that it was difficult to connect and use.

Well, I am glad that I bought this. I have had no connectivity issues and in fact I even went so far as to buy another one because I loved what it gave me for the price.

I also had a Western Digital device which I bought because I believed there hype about all the extras you get with them. Well, to date, I haven't yet used any of those extra features. My advice is to go for the simpler, cheaper and in my opinion FASTER Seagate device.

I use mine to store Photos, Videos, and Music as well as scans of personal documents as a backup.
The 320Gb space goes quite a long way and I have thousands of files stored on there and it is only half full.

The supplied USB2 cable gives great transfer rates between the device and the PC. My only criticism here is that the cable is a bit short at just about 30cms long. If this is an issue for you, the cable can be easily replaced cheaply from any store (Maplin, PC World, Tesco etc).

Summary: Glad I bought this!
