I got this as a birthday present from my girlfriend due to the growing amount of space required by my two laptops for music, photos, videos and (legally) downloaded movies. When i saw the size of it i was delighted, but was a bit worried about the fact that it had no fan. 500gb with no fan, i thought would mean it would be incredibly slow, crash alot, or get extremely too hot, meaning that it wouldnt last long.
