I currently run a pair of Mybook Studio Hard Drives! I am running the 1tb and the 1.5tb. So far they are yet to fail me! They run at 7200rpm so are brilliant for the main usage I have for them which is HD video! I can run it through Firewire 800 and do complicated video editing straight off it without moving anything onto the computer itself! So far I have had no issues with the disk running slow, failing or getting bogged down. The most annoying niggle with these hard drives is WD Smartware which is an incredibly annoying computer data backup program installed on the hard drives. You can turn the software off luckily which I personally have and I would advise you do the same. Obviously. the other issue with these hard disks is that they come set up in a Mac only format which is great if all you deal with is Mac but if you intend to use it on multiple operating systems you must reformat which I actually didn't manage to do properly when i tried!
