I have a number of these drives and I love them. They are good for backing up your files and photos and what ever else you have. The read and write speed is pretty nice and they are not that expensive. Maybe now they have something cheaper but mine are still going strong with my back ups. I was reading other reviews on the internet and I notice a lot of people are having issues with these drives. I cant confirm for my self but iv had my 3 for over a year and they all work perfect. Like other reviewers said look else where to see what they say. Over all I notice coping speeds up to 40mb a sec. but it depends on your computer as well as the drive. I did have a issue with drivers when I started but a quick google helped. Maybe it was my computer but if you plan on buying this be prepared to find drivers for it. I know my computer supports 3.0 and it sucks that this drive is only 2.0 but I mean for the price I can see why and the speeds are not that bad. As for the small space I did have to buy 3 of them so if you plan on doing big back ups find another drive cause this wont help that much, but for simple storage this drive works great. I hope you all enjoyed my review Highly recommend this drive for everyone. Cheers.
After filling up most of my PC I decided it was time to get an external harddrive. I plumped for one of the best rated ones on other websites and ended up here.
Connecting through a USB port, the hard drive is small and compact, easily portable, it even fits into some of my bigger pockets quite comfortably. This gives you a great ease of use when moving data from one place to another that may not necessarily be so portable.
The drive makes very little noise, although there is the odd whir every now and again, but nothing too noticeable, particularly if you have media blasting out of your pc.
One small issue I have had is that every now and again the drive seems to almost reset, causing it to turn off for a momentary second, before switching back on. This isn't a problem unless playing media through it, as it causes it to stop (using I-tunes it does anyway). Like I say, this is a very rare problem for me, but I thought it was worth mentioning. It could even just be my USB ports cutting the power.
I would reccommend this hard drive thoroughly, but maybe check online to see if other people have had my fault with it.
