Recharging your eyes
I feel like the older I'm getting the more tired I seem to look no matter how much I sleep. I can't really say that I'm really happy about this because well I don't want to look tired even at 12 oclock in the afternoon. The Biotherm brand is one brand I trust but since it's quiet expensive to buy it's not something I use that often. This recharging eye cream comes at the price of 30 pounds for a 15 ml bottle.
The bottle is only 15 ml but to be fair you don't need that much since you only have to apply it just under your eyes so it will last you for around two months. The bottle looks quiet nice and comes in the color red and has a white pump on top of it. The bottle contains information about the product, ingredients and contact ifnormation. The white little pump is easy to use and gives you the right amount what you need for both your eyes.
The cream feels very thick and is easy to spread out. It smells quiet sweet but fresh at the same time and it has a orange color to it. Applying the cream is dead easy and instead of of rubbing it in you simply dab it on and then massage it into the skin. The cream absorbs quiet quickly and doesn't feel greasy.
I'm normally doubtfull about these products as they promise a lot but fail to deliver. This cream actually does deliver. It doesn't make you suddenly ten years younger but i can see a clear difference. The cream gives me a fresh feeling and i think it moisturize the skin which makes it looks more fresh and awake. The cream also protect against sun damage and everyday stress.
It might be a expensive product but for me it's worth it. I think it last around two months with this one and i can see a difference. The bottle is easy to use and the little pump gives the right amount of cream. Great product and four stars!
WHAT IS IT?
An eye gel designed to fight the signs of ageing from Biotherm.
HOW DO YOU USE IT?
Apply a drop underneath each eye and around the entire eye socket. Pat into the skin until absorbed.
IS IT ANY GOOD?
I've been using this Biotherm Multi-Recharge Eye Care Gel since January and it has made a difference to the appearance of the skin around my eyes. I don't get enough sleep and this will get worse when I have my baby at the end of the month, but this gel is refreshing as soon as it's applied and this feeling transfers immediately into a more youthful looking skin tone.
The gel absorbs quickly and is best applied immediately after cleansing while your pores are still open, this helps it absorb even quicker and will leave you with no residue on your skin. Make up application can be done as soon as the gel has absorbed and there is no caking even when I use a heavy or powdery foundation. I think my gel eyeliners last for slightly longer when applied over this but the difference is marginal.
The skin under my eyes is moisturised and this was apparent from the end of the first week of use, it also appears brighter and the dark circles were reduced. I still have smudges of dark circles under my eyes but that's something I need to address when ican get my sleeping pattern under control.
This is an expensive eye product and costs £30 for a 15ml bottle. You only need to use one or two drops for each application so the small bottle lasts for longer than you think it will.
5 Dooyoo Stars.
Since having a baby last year and now having endured almost a year of sleepless nights, I've devoloped quite considerably large dark circles under my eyes which do get me quite down and often make me look like I have been in a punch up! I've resorted to piling on a lot of make up in the area which of course will hide the darkness temporarily, but it's doing nothing to actually fight against the under eye bags and signs of tiredness so it was time for me to look for a product I could use to help improve the appearance of my eyes.
I wish I had done some research before just heading out and buying a product so that I could have read some reviews of different products, but unfortunately I just went straight into Boots and bought whatever looked best. I knew that a cheaply priced Eye Cream wouldn't do the job since I'd tried many in the past, so I've got to be honest I was mainly looking at the prices and going for the most expensive product available. I know this sounds the opposite to what people would normally look for when buying a product but I was fed up of buying endless amounts of cheap stuff that was just wasting my money when I could just buy one good pricey product that would actually do the job.
The 15ml bottle was £30 which was indeed expensive but I was still optimistic that because of its high price and because it was a Biotherm product that it would be worth the spend. The area of skin under the eyes is probably the most delicate part of your face so I wanted this gel to be gentle yet effective. I only had to apply a very small amount under each eye on a morning and just gently massage it into the area. I wasn't expecting immediate results as I never do with any product, but I was persistent and continued using the gel everyday for a fortnight or so.
The product is enriched with Bio-elastides and vitamins C and E with a blend of Ginseng which are all supposed to combat puffiness, redness & dark circles around the eyes whilst also moisturzing at the same time. The gel did leave the area feeling soft to touch I must admit, so it wasn't bad at moisturzing, but in regards to the effects it had on my dark circles etc. I was not impressed with the results. I didn't notice any difference in the prominence in my under eye bags and for something I paid so much money for I really expected a lot better. My eyes were a little less red but that was probably just down to the fact that the gel had moisturized them. But I hadn't paid £30 to be moisturized, I'd wanted to tackle my dark eyes and sadly this gel wasn't up to the job.
I really did feel like I'd wasted my money and the price tag for this Biotherm product is just very unjustified considering it doesn't do what it's supposed to. If it had actually worked then it would have been great since only small amounts needed to be applied at any one time, so it could have been a durable and handy product. But unfortunately Biotherm need to do some more work on this product in my opinion!
Biotherm Multi Recharge Eye Care
I don't know if it's just genetics or my staying up until late that i sometimes look so tired. What the reason may be I don't like it. Nobody likes to look tired as it makes you old looking so no thank you. When I saw this product I was in a spending mood and acted like I found the solution for my problem so it didn't matter how much it was because it was going to be worth it! Well the product was 30 pounds so if it really was worth it?
The cream comes in a bottle of 15ml which sounds really little but you don't really need much since you only apply this beneath your eyes so it actually last you quite a while. It's a nice little bottle that comes in red and with a white pump on top. It was all the information about the product, ingredients and contact information. The little pump gives the right amount of what you need of both eyes, so very easy to use.
The cream has a more orange kind of colour and it's very thick feeling. It's has a sweet but fresh scent which is quite nice. You need to be careful with applying this because you just can't rub it in you need to dab it on and then slowly massage it so the skin slowly absorbs it. The cream feels nice and absorbs quickly and doesn't feel greasy afterwards.
The product promises me an intensive moisture regulation, intense revitalization and multi-active protection against sun damage and everyday stress. It sound really good and promising and I have to say the moment I apply the scream it feels really nice and it gives me a fresh feeling. I used it for a few months and on the long run I don't really see any difference. Maybe a little bit but it doesn't really give me a recharge. The effect is too small for me to buy this again since it costs quite a lot of money. A shame because it all sounded very promising.
This is one gel/serum that is also involved in my daily routine, however i seem to be always finding myself neglecting this cream. I have to say i don't really like it and don't really see the great deal in it. It hasn't worked on me but, i love the textures of serums and this is a good applicator cream but it doesn't do anything.
It does give me a boost at the moment, that one second when i apply this onto my skin but it thats about the end of it. It doesn't give me the recharge look, i still have eye bags and puffy eyes. I wouldn't buy this product again-its a disappointment.
when going to the Biotherm stores they teach you to apply this product using your second thing and just apply it like normally, but be warned this isn't how you apply eye cream at all, using your second finger can cause bigger eye bags as your pushing your blood (eye bag) around so avoid this... Use your little finger and dab it in slowly and delicately and message, because your using your little finger your skin would slowly absorb the serum and give a better effect then you harshly applying!
Although i have so many citizen in this care cream i still do love all Biotherm products, maybe this cream just doesnt do the justice for me, but you can ask for samples and see how it goes if you are very interested.
The price tag is VERY expensive too, i really do not reccommend as its a tiny bottle aswel from what i remember its about £25 for about 15ml?
anways a alternative reccommendation that i give is the Garnier's Nutritionist Caffeine Eye Roll-On which i found does the same as what the Biotherm Recharge gel does but it actually does work and it is more worth the cost at £5.99 or even cheaper when Superdrug and boots is on discount!
Having tried and tested a few eye creams, lotions and potions over the years I'm always up for testing new products that I come across.
In my local Boots I cam across the Biotherm counter for the first time while looking for a nice moisturiser for my fella (review for another time). The nice lady behind the counter asked if I had ever tried Biotherm products before, of which I hadn't, and offered me a quick skin consultation.
After the no obligation consultation I was offered a sample of the men's moisturiser for my fella and a 2ml sample of eye cream for me. Being a dark circle sufferer I'm always looking for the 'miracle' cure so was more than happy with the freebee.
The eye cream she gave me was the Multi Recharge Yeux which is supposed to moisturise, smooth and target puffiness and dark circles. Just the kind of thing I would normally be looking for.
The normal price for this would be £25.00 for a 15ml bottle which is quite pricey!
It is targeted for those around 30 who have a stressful lifestyle which is quite specific. The moisturising gel is an opaque white colour and is fragrance free. It smoothes onto the skin very well and only takes seconds to absorb. It doesn't leave any sticky residue or any oily shine behind, it sinks straight into the skin and disappears completely.
The gel contains active ingredients such as Pure Ginseng Extract, Vitamin E, Pure Extract of Thermal Plankton, caffeine and gingko. I was also pleased to find out that it also contains SPF15
The Thermal Plankton is one of Biotherm's 'super' ingredients and probably the reason it is so expensive. They have done a lot of research into its skin moisturising and healing properties and use concentrated extracts in their skin care.
As it states on their website 'Pure Thermal Plankton is 100% Natural as its origins are at the very heart of mineral springs. It is also Pure as Biotherm Biologists succeeded in extracting an extremely pure concentrate through bio-fermentation. It is finally Active because it helps protect skin's natural defences'.
I've been using this for about 2 weeks now, morning and night. I've been surprised at how long the little tube has lasted but I have only been using a small amount. I have noticed that the skin around my eyes looks a little smoother, brighter and definitely more moisturised. I'm not 100% convinced on the dark circle promise but I've noticed that it has helped a little, mainly I think by putting back the moisture that was lacking in the first place.
I really do like this eye gel but at the price they charge, may have to keep looking for something a little more affordable. In the end the results aren't much better than a good high street brand.
