      Doesn't really work for me...

      Boots No.7 Uplifting Eye Cream

      What is it?
An premium range eye cream by Boot's own cosmetic brand, No.7.

      Special features?
No.7 claims this eye cream to visibly firm and redefine your skin in two weeks. It aims to intensively tighten and smooth your skin with its 'incredibly' powerful firmula. The cream helps to hydrate to create more supple, soft and healthy looking skin in just 4 weeks. The cream is suiyable for sensitive skin and is also fragrance free.

      What do I think?
I was actually recommended this cream by one of the make-up advisors on the boots' cosmetic counters. I explained that I was looking for a good eye cream t get rid of my dark circles, my big deep dark black under eye bags.

At a whopping £14, I was a bit hesitant, having spent so much on lots of other brands that didn't work, I just wasn't so sure...still, she made it sounds so good, I reluctantly got my purse out and bought this little wonder home.

The cream is fairly light which is nice and it seems to absorb very quickly into the skin. You really only need to dab a little bit on around your eyes as it is rich enough to hydrate the whole eye area without needing too much. I did put too much on once, and my eyes were a bit puffy the next day and I did notice a few blood spots under the skin area on a few occasions that I did put too much on, so do bear this in mind...

The eye area is so delicate, and looking on the box, there are so many ingredients in this, I would really make sure you try very little jus to make sure it works for you. After using it for a few days, my skin did seem a bit more firmer, although my dark circles were still present. Even after six weeks of using this my dark circles remain unchanged. It's not really a cream for this, it is probably as much as a good skin conditioning and moisturising cream for the eye area.

It's really a matter of personal preference but I wouldn't really buy this again, athough it is a good moisturiser and nothing more, I would only buy it on special promotion but wouldn't really search for it as there are a lot more good moisturising eye creams out there that are much cheaper.

After trying so many brands, I really don't there is such a cream that gets rid of dark circles. The dark circles is more of a lifestyle and genetic thing, and I think it's really down to your lifestyle that you can help to minimise them.

      Thanks for reading. xx :)

      eye cream

      Boots no 7uplifting eye cream

I am having quite a splurge at the moment on Boots No 7 products because they keep giving me vouchers. In my quest for a line free fresh looking visage, this was my latest purchase

      **The promises...**

As with most products of this type, this one makes certain promises. In this case, the product promises to firm and redefine your skin in only two weeks (that's what it e=says on the front). However, when I read the back of the box it tells me that my skin will be more supple and healthy looking in four weeks. What to believe?? Ignoring all of this, I am hoping that it does tighten and smooth skin whilst hydrating the eye area.

      **Product and packaging...**

The product comes in a small box with information about the product on the back of the box. When I open the box, I find a small 15ml plastic tub, which is white and just has the name of the product on the front of the tub. Since it is so small, it means that the top of the jar is very small. I don't have the biggest fingers but once you get almost to the bottom of the tub, it does take some raking around to get finger in and then to the sides.

When I unscrew the lid, I find that the product is, as expected, white and completely fragrance free. I scoop a little of the product onto my finger to apply it around my eyes and it is very soft , smooth and easily absorbed leaving my eye area feeling nicely moisturised.

      **Using it...**

The blurb tells me that it is a little facial every day and to get this little facial, all I have to do is close my eyes and dot the product around the eye area then blend. Very simple. I like that!!

      **Price and Availability**

The product is available instore and online at www.boots.com. Costing £16.50 for 15ml it's not the cheapest product on the market.

I do tend to like the Boots No 7 products and this was no exception. The eye cream is hypo allergenic and has been tested even on very sensitive skin, so it's not going to harm my eye area. It's easy to apply and makes my eye area feel very moisturised. I wasn't really expecting it to do anything dramatic as I have lost faith with these kind of products. However, i was nicely surprised and after a month or so of use, my eye area definitely looks brighter and feels more moisturised.

It is expensive for an eye product but does feel quite luxurious. Although the benefits aren't fantastic, I would recommend this for anyone wanting to moisturise their eye area.

      Thanks for reading.
