This was the first product I bought from Clarins and that was a couple of years ago.
I was in a department store and went over to the counter with the idea of getting a product for my Eyes. Although my eye area isn't wrinkled or looks that bad or that I do feel that I have bags under my eyes, and although I do usually feel tired I do seem to get a good sleep so would have thought my eye area would look better than it is. So I asked the assistant for something that would help with my eye area and she advised me truthfully that some skin issues can just be down to genetics, but certainly a product can help with certain things, so I chose this.
This comes in a little tube which looks like the Dooyoo picture. I never think that the Clarins products look all that expensive with their plain white colouring and the red writing on the tube, but they are expensive and are a main designer brand named product. I got this in a 15ml tube and I think it cost me about £26 the last time I bought it. I did however get quite a few little trial sized products so I got to try other things that I wouldn't have thought about trying if I hadn't tried the little ones first.
This is a Balm, so not a Cream, but it is still easy enough to rub in. I just squirted a little bit of this onto a fingers and rubbed the little spot of this under my eyes and I even had a bit left over to do the side of my eyes and my eyelids. This felt a little greasy when I first applied it, but it dried in quick and although I first noticed a little bit of a sheen with this when it settled down the area just looked a bit moisturised. I use this at night time anyway.
A tube of this lasts a good lenght of time and I would hazard a guess and say it will probably do around 4 months if you are using this every night.
I find that this works good enough on my eye area. Yes, my dark circles aren't magically away, but I feel they don't look so dark and the bags just don't seem so puffy. My eye area is nice and soft as well.
A good product and if you break down the cost with how long this may last then it doesn't work out quite as expensive.
Clarins New Eye Contour Balm is a great product if you are looking for something to soften the fine lines around the eye area. It is a soothing, gentle cream which is applied to the eye orbital area quite sparingly. I have fairly sensitive skin and have never suffered any reactions from any Clarins products - as they are all plant based they are promoted as being kind to sensitive skin.
It is quite expensive at around £28 per tube, however, I find that a tube will last me for 3-4 months. A good tip for buying Clarins products is to wait until your local department store runs promotions (which they do regularly) when, if you buy two products, you get (usually) a choice of five sample sizes free of charge. The sample sizes that you get from Clarins are normally 15mls (which is a third of a regular bottle) so it is a decent sample. And, they do samples of a lot of their most popular day and night creams, so you can stock up on useful products rather than obscure lotions and potions. Also, a number of department stores run Clarins events now and again in the evenings at which they give away samples.
