      Disadvantages

Worth a try if you have saggy eyes!

I had never heard of the Espa brand until last Christmas when I received a product in my amazing beauty advent calendar from Espa. By the packaging I could instantly see that this was a premium brand and was more than willing to give it a try on my tired, new mum eyes.

      Description
The eye serum is described as a concentrated ultra firming and smoothing treatment. It gives the eyes a concentrated boost to help firm and smooth lines. Micro algae and cyatheaceae tree fern work to lift, firm and stimulate fresh cell renewal, golden root instantly brightens and de puffs while inca inchi oil deeply nourishes. Perfect to help defy the signs of ageing.

      In use
Following the directions, I gently tap the product from the inner brow outwards and round beneath the eye before moisturising. It goes on very silkily and feel nice on the skin. The product itself is a rather unfetching yellowy colour but it goes on clear so that's OK.

      My thoughts
I have been careful to only use a tiny amount each time I use this eye serum (see price below for explanation!) so have made it last months obviously not with daily use but I do revisit this product when I feel my eyes are needing a little help after a sleep deprived night. The product feels a bit like it dries tight on the skin which is not unpleasant but clearly helps stretch out the skin a little to make skin look less aged. I don't really have eye wrinkles yet so am not too worried about this but really do try hard to keep my skin nourished and moisturised to avoid any signs of aging.

      Price
15 ml retails at £55 so you may want to use that small amount sparingly!

      Final thoughts
I do think this is a bit expensive but I know a lot of ladies are prepared to shell out for products when they feel they really work. I liked all the natural plant products within and was intrigued about the tree fern as a product as it does feel a bit like a sap on your skin when it dries! For me, this was a nice treatment product which felt a little bit strange on the skin when it dried. I do think this is a nice product, and it is good to pay attention to the delicate skin on the eye area but it is not one I will repurchase.
