WHAT IS IT?
This is eye gel that is made by Lavera. I am a very happy customer of Lavera but I do not think this product is suited to me because it makes my eyes feel a little bit sore and I think that is because of the fragrance.
HOW DO YOU USE IT?
You apply under your eyes and around the top also. You have to massage it in a little bit because it is gel and it will not sink in all by itself.
DOES IT WORK?
This eye gel makes the skin under my eyes feel refreshed and a little bit smoother also. When I was using it regular it was when my daughter was a baby and I remember that this eye gel was very good for making the skin by my eyes lighter so that it was more like my regular skin and the dark circles were made to look better.
WHAT I THINK
I like to use this because the gel feels very nice and cool on my skin. The fragrance is very beautiful and is of roses but that is a problem because after I apply it my eyes start to water and I think that is because the fragrance is so strong and too strong to be near to my eyes.
It is effective and it is a pity that there was irritation because I would have made this the eye cream that I used all of the time but after a few weeks I had to stop using it because of how it made irritation in my eyes.
I like the way it sinks into my skin when I massage it gently but the gel looks a little bit wet under my eyes for quite a long time after and when I apply my make up I worry always that the wetness of the gel is going to affect how it looks.
A tube of Lavera eye gel that has got 15ml of gel in it costs about £9 and I think that is value as long as your eyes are not sensitive to the rose fragrance. It is organic and suited for vegans because of the ingredients that have been used.

Being a bit of a beauty product addict, I always like to try out new things and vary the brands that I use. I'm a member of the website www.latestinbeauty.com which is designed to provide members with a selection of product samples that you can choose from and order on a monthly basis. I had opted to receive a sample of this Lavera Wild Rose Eye Gel in one of my previous Latest in Beauty sample boxes.
Lavera was a new brand to me as I had not heard of them, or their products, before coming across them on Latest in Beauty. They produce natural and organic skincare and make-up products, and after getting to sample a few of their items I can safely say that I love this brand! I have had good experiences all round and was very happy to try out their Wild Rose Eye Gel. I received 4 x 1ml sample sachets which was quite a generous amount. The full size product contains 15ml and after searching via google shopping it looks to be available for between £10 - £15, so do shop around.
Product description: "The skin around your eye is thinner, extra delicate, and extra sensitive than the skin on your cheeks, forehead, and chin. So eyes require special care. Lavera Faces Organic Wild Rose Eye Gel is a light, creamy gel that gently moisturises the delicate eye area. You'll notice a wonderful firm feeling straight after you apply the Lavera Organic Wild Rose Eye Gel."
The full size eye gel comes in a plastic tube, and my samples were in little sachets. To get the most out of using my samples I squeezed the contents of the sachets into a little glass jar I kept from a previous eye cream sample, and this kept the gel fresh whereas it would have dried out if kept in the opened sachets. I had a total amount of 4mls and this lasted me for a reasonable time, giving just under 3 months of use with applications twice a day.
Directions for use: Lavera Organic Wild Rose Eye Gel is gently applied to the delicate eye area before your facial moisturiser. Apply a very small amount to the delicate eye area and gently pat or massage in - your ring finger is perfect for this. Follow with Lavera Faces Organic Wild Rose Moisturiser.
This eye product is called a gel, but in my opinion I would say it is definitely more of a cream, as it does not have a gel-like consistency and has quite a thin, runny texture. The cream itself has a plain white colour and it spreads easily over the skin, with a little going a long way. It is important to be careful when applying products to the delicate area of skin around the eyes, as it is much thinner in this place and can be more prone to damaging easily. I find that this cream absorbs quickly and requires only a gentle sweep of my fingertip to rub it in gently, which is practical as I can then carry on and apply my make-up without having to wait around for it to sink in and dry properly.
I suffer with terrible dark circles under my eyes and nothing seems to shift them regardless of how well I sleep, and so far every product I've tried has failed to improve the situation. Unlike lots of other products, the description for this Wild Rose Eye Gel boats no wild claims to radically improve the eye area, and with no real information other than the claim that it provides a firmed feeling, I was unsure of what so expect from using it. I am in my mid-20s with combination skin, and although Lavera say this suits all skin types, it is specifically targeted at those with dry and/or mature skin, so I wasn't convinced that it would work any better than the other eye creams I've tried before, especially considering that my skin type does not fit in with the target market. Amazingly, I actually think that it has worked really well for me in most respects. After I've used this eye gel my skin feels moisturised, and it is so light that it absorbs almost instantly and leaves no heavy or sticky feeling behind afterwards. My main concern is that I have extremely visible dark circles and I am very conscious of how they look as it really stands out against my pale coloured complexion. I notice an improvement straight away after using this product as the dark areas seem lightened and brightened, and it really helps to boost the skin to make it appear healthier and rejuvenated. I have never had any product work in this way for me before, and although it has not eradicated my dark circles, even just to have a temporary effect in reducing them feels like a miracle to me! This helps me to feel more confident about my appearance and means I can get away with wearing less concealer than I would normally which is also a bonus.
My skin is beginning to show some signs of ageing, but I'm not quite ready to be classified as "mature" for a few more decades yet thanks! Luckily I've not got any signs of crow's feet or wrinkles around my eyes, but I do have a few fine laughter lines underneath the lower lashes and these are beginning to seem more prominent every time I look at them! I have not noticed any positive effects from the eye gel in this respect, as the lines are just as visible as always and they have not been lessened or plumped even after weeks of using the gel.
This eye gel is a real pleasure to use as it feels nice on the skin and has a lovely soft rose fragrance to it. This product is natural, organic, and suitable for vegans. Rose is a tried and tested natural ingredient that works well to nurture and soothe skin, and is very well suited to those with dry complexions. Another excellent factor is that Lavera uses human volunteers to test the products with dermatologist supervision, meaning that no animal testing is performed. Lavera is against animal testing and have never tested any of their products on animals.
To sum up, I would say that even though this eye gel was not quite perfect for me it is definitely the best I've come across so far. It is easy to use and gives good results, especially when it came to dealing with my dark circles. I would happily recommend Lavera's Wild Rose Eye Gel and will definitely be trying out other items in their range.
