“ Brand: Simple / Texture: Cream / Type: Eye Cream / Texture: Serum / Suitable for: Eye / Skin type: for dry skin and for all types / What it does: Smoothes, Firms / Product line: Simple Regeneration „
Having been a fan of the simple daily radiance eye cream, I was in the shop looking to replace my supply when I spotted this on a discount price offer. Not being one to pass up on a bargain I decided that I would give it a go. It sounded like it was a more intense formula than I would normally have chosen but at ₤3.50 instead of the normal ₤12.99 price tag I was more than willing to try (plus a little extra help never goes amiss).
The cream comes in a gold coloured box with the simple logo on and Regeneration Plus written on the side. It looks quite an expensive cream by virtue of the packaging alone and the cream is contained in a nice little gold tube instead of the glass jar that my normal eye cream comes in which makes it handy to keep in your makeup bag.
The cream promises an anti-aging formula with smoothing and firming properties that instantly reduce the appearance of dark circles and reduce puffiness around the eye area. One of the active ingredients in the formula is Iris Extract as well as natural marine extract. I'm not sure exactly what kind of properties these have but it all sounds impressive.
One of the things I like about the simple range is that they are all 100% perfume and colour free and they are all formulated especially for sensitive skin and when you are looking for a cream to use round the sensitive eye area, you want to stay away from strong perfumes and harsh colourings.
You get 15ml of cream in the tube but the directions state that you only need a dot or two under the eye each morning so this should last you quite a while. The tube is designed so that you only get a small amount out at a time, it has a small tip on the end of the tube to make sure you don't loose half your cream when you squeeze the tube for the first time!
I've been using this for about 1 month now, I don't think I've made much of a dent in the cream so I'm expecting this will last me a good while longer. Now as usual being a dark circle sufferer I was living in the hope of great things and amazing miracles from this little tube especially when it boasts 'instant' reduction of dark circles.
As usual the reality didn't quite live up to the expectations, although there was a noticeable difference after using it for a couple of weeks. The skin around my eyes looked a bit more hydrated and the fine lines did appear a little smoother and less noticeable.
Now by no means is this a miracle cure, but I with persistence I think this gives fairly good results although it's far from the 'instant results' claim on the box it's worth giving a go if you have under eye 'issues' and it also gives quite a good base for that camouflage makeup.
When something normally retails at £12.99 (and I'm aware of it!) but on sale in a bargain bucket for a pound (in my local Boots) there's no stopping me buying it to be perfectly honest with you! Just try holding me back lol. I knew the saving I was making and I do use eye creams and gels and stuff, and again to be honest I never pay very much for it I just simply feel using something is better than nothing and my eyes arnt very problematic anyway (the only bit of me that isn't lol!)
Bronzy/gold and burgundy colour(the tube sits securely on the burgundy pull out tray from within the box) and on the front of said box in dark green burgundy, white and gold writing I'm told it is Simple 'Regeneration Plus' Firming Smoothing Eye Cream which is a 'Advanced Anti-Ageing Formula' and that Simple are experts in sensitive skin and that the product is 100% perfume & colour free. On one side of the box (the writing is all burgundy now) I'm told a bit abut the Simple brand and on the other side of the box ingredients are listed. On the back of the box I'm told a bit about the product, directions for use are given, the recycle symbol is displayed, contact details for Accantia Health & Beauty Ltd are given (the manufacturer of Simple products) and there is a bar-code on there too. Nice, simple (pardon the pun) packaging which is sophisticated looking and easy to understand. The bottle in again bronze/gold and long and matches the box and again contains alot of the information I've already gone on about! It's all very nice to be fair to it and grown up in it's approach!

Me Using It....
This really is brilliant and I can see why it would usually set us back the princely sum of £12.99 a tube! It's really great and an instant worker!
The cream is a white, glossy, fairly thin liquid with a natural smell to it that is none distinctive but is fresh and clean smelling. You only need a very small amount and as suggested I use it first thing in the morning after cleansing and before using ordinary day time moisturiser.
It is incredibly easy to blend in, sinks in almost on touch and doesn't irritate my really sensitive eyes at all and basically it's a breeze to apply and as you don't need much at all it does actually work out economical (even at it's full price if your unlucky enough not to find it on offer like me lol).
Personally I gently sweep it under my eyes and if I have any left on my fingertips I gently waft it over my lids as well and immediately the whole are feels tighter (though naturally so and not sticky at all).
For me this has the wow factor. I appreciate visible results and this is what this gives me time and time again. My eyes feel instantly firmer no messing! Lines are not so visible. Any dark patches are brightened and as the area is smoother and tighter in appearance the colour is all important and as I don't sleep very well I do go very dark under my eyes from time to time. This instantly brightens and rejuvenates my eyes. Any puffiness again, is eradicated. The cool lotion really is soothing and as the area is tighter, puffiness disappears!
All in all if you have problems around the eye area, in my case this is brilliant. Eyes feel smoother in the long term as well and brighter since I've started using this product over-all. I used to get quite dry, crumpled skin under my eyes but not only does this instantly 'fix' that but in the long term my skin really does appear more hydrated which makes make up application easier too!
Is It Worth The Money?....
I think so. I think this is great for men and/or women of any age and I'm right impressed with my tube! I feel more confident and I will not only be using this to disguise problems on a daily basis but I will be using it as a preventative treatment in the future and to try stop ageing so quickly in this area! It truly is a marvel!
Available in all good chemists and supermarkets!
This must be the era of Regeneration. It seems to be the 'in thing' to have the word 'regeneration, regenerating' in skin care products.
I am now part of the regeneration generation when I bought the Simple Regeneration Plus firming smoothing eye cream in Tesco. I was looking for a replacement eye cream as I have just scrapped the last bit of the Clarins eye cream and I was looking for a cheaper option. The Simple Regeneration eye cream was going at a reduced price, and now I am suck into the regeneration hype.
Simple is known for their range of perfume and colour free product especially suitable for sensitive skin. This suits me well as I find perfume skincare unbearable especially when I am trying to get to sleep.
Simple Regeneration Plus Firming Smoothing Eye Cream is part of the regeneration range on anti aging. The indication on the packaging states that the eye cream will help to visibly firm and smooth the skin around the delicate eye contour area. The vitamin mineral ingredient is supposed to help stimulate skin regeneration and reduce skin aging. There is also Iris extract to help improves skin time and firmness whilst reducing fine lines and wrinkles. The tube is presented nicely in bronze packaging, which is different from the signature white and green Simple colour.
How do I find the eye cream:
I like the feel of the tube, the light beige cream dispense easily from the bronze tube without any waste. The cream absorb easily in to the skin. To apply, simply make one squeeze on the tube and a single pearl drop size cream is dispense. Thereafter, gently dapped the cream with the tip of your finger around the contour of the eye, upper and lower, taking care not to pull the skin as it would form lines.
I did not see the benefit immediately but after a week of application, I do notice that the lines are less visible. I know it is impossible to get rid of these lines and I am happy with the reduced visibility. I have problem with dark circles and I could see an improvement in the skin tone around my eye area. After two week, the eye area does feel firmer and much more moisturised.
The Simple Regeneration Plus range of anti aging skin care caters for older skin type and the range includes anti wrinkle firming day cream with SPF 12, intensive line reducing serum, anti wrinkle firming night cream and moisture rich anti wrinkle moisturising cream.
Finally, price and place of purchase:
I bought the eye cream in Tesco at £6.99, reduced from its original price of £12.99. The tube is available in 15ml size. The cream can also be bought in Boots and Superdrug.
Don't mind really to be in the regeneration generation!
