@ About, Ease of use @
I bought this fan as an upgrade from my old cheap desk fan and i have to say credit where credit is due, bionaire have made a superb product right here. The ease of use is one of the best points - all the buttons have simple icons and logos that you wont need to get used to. Fr example, three bars for three speed, a picture of a head on a pillow for snooze and a timer logo for the timer. Done. simple as. The next best thing if you don't understand how to use this fan is the manual which comes in a wide variety of european languages and explains everything down to the smallest detail, even the remote control.
Power was another thing that i considered when buying a fan because this particular fan is quite powerful - not because it spins fast, but because its blades are long and wide. Standing a few meters away will still give you a good blast of cool air and close up it wont rip your face off with wind, it just gives you a very stiff breeze. The power can be adjusted and i find that even 1 is sufficient enough when you're two meters away.
@ Features, Build Quality @
One feature that stumped me was the snooze mode which seems to randomly cycle through every single setting on the fan. No idea why, i would assume sleep mode was a quiet gentle breeze which wont wake you up but instead it just sits there oscillating, changing its speeds and eventually if you set the timer, it will shut off. A handy feature on this fan is the remote holder, which allows our remote control to slot into the back and clip in. Its not that sturdy because you can just yank the remote out, and there is a little wiggle from the clips.
The casing is solid plastic which creaks quite a bit when you move it around but so far so good - 2 years on and there have been no buts falling off, and there are no cracks or dents. The fan will wobble on its base quite a lot, so if you knock it e fan will move more than the base. This in a way is good because i regularly knock mine and its fine, but also shows that the base is not sturdy.
@ Overall @
All things considered this is a great fan - durable, lightweight and simple. Its easy to use and the fact that you can set it up from the moment you plug it in, makes it ideal for those who don't have time to faff around getting it organised. Despite a couple flaws i will still award a generous five stars.
Summary: A fantastic fan, so long as you dont use snooze mode or the remote slot.
