Disadvantages: LOUDER THAN METALLICA AT THE O2 LOL!!!!

Bit dubious at first about buying the Argos "challenge" own brand as have been bitten before, but thought this was worth the risk as old fan was knackered.

My criteria was cheap three speed,turny round thing,on a stand, prefferably not bloody white!!
Kerpow! there it was the 16" chrome job from Argos, on offer at a shade under twenty quid.

Bit of construction needed as blade needs attaching to spindle and casing needs to be screwed to the main motor, then motor and fan bit screwed to base.Quite simple if you are used to Argos strange mix of plastic and metal parts i.e metal stand with plastic chrome-a-like tightener.

Same goes for strange choices of plastic parts for example, the part that joins the fan to the stand and probably has the most stress on it, and guess what its plastic!! we will see how long it lasts and wether or not it will be thrown over the counter for a refund or not.

Looks lovely and does the job it is suppose to albeit quite loudly, like living next to a runway really, all that is missing is the smell of aviation fuel.But once you get used to this it does move the air around very nicely.

If you don't dig too deep past the plastic chrome covered parts it is not bad for twenty quid, do not pay any more for it, but I do prefer it to cheap plastic versions as is more weighty and looks better.
