      Very helpful

One to watch out for in the shops I think.

We purchased this set for our grandson last year although our set is blue whereas the picture accompanying this review is red. It has exactly the same style and format as our set, it is just a different colour with slightly different pictures.

This set is made mostly of melamine which is ideal for children's crockery as it is durable, easy to clean and difficult to break. Our grandson's plate, bowl and cup have been on the floor more times than I care to recall but have never chipped or broken.

The cutlery is a very good size for a young child. Some children's cutlery these days comes with silly shapes on the ends of the handles which make using them awkward for young children. The handles on this cutlery set are smooth and easy for a small child to manipulate.

This set cost us around £6 when we purchased it is presently available in the blue shade from Toys and Hobbies for £8.99 or the red shade from g9 leisure for £8.89. I think that is a little on the expensive side but worth it if the child you are buying it for will probably still like Postman Pat in a years time as this will last you that long.
