My daughter requested a Cinderella dress for her birthday. I decided to get her Cinderella dress from The Disney Store as they tend to look nicer and are better quality than most costume dresses that can be bought elsewhere (I also prefer to buy 'authentic' Disney products). I ordered it online and naturally had to add on a few extras which included a matching Cinderella wand, shoes and tiara! Here's my thoughts on the Cinderella Shoes...
The Cinderella Shoes are plastic and transparent. They have a pretty lattice effect around the edges and a small, safe heel. The front of the shoes are covered up entirely by light blue fluff, a blue satin bow and a giant heart-shaped jewel on top. They are absolutely gorgeous, I wish they came in my size! They also have a large picture of Cinderella printed on the insoles.
My daughter is about a size 12 shoe size. The Cinderella shoe sizes start from 7 and go all the way up to 1. The sizes go up in twos (eg. size 7-8, size 9-10). I decided to order a size 11-12 from the website, although I was a little worried they might be on the small side as she was more of a size 12 than a size 11. I needn't have worried because when they arrived they absolutely drowned her feet! I checked the reviews on The Disney Store website (which I should have done BEFORE!) and everybody was saying how big the sizing was.
I gave the shoes to my niece and ordered my daughter a size 9-10. They fitted much better and even had some space to grow!
My daughters Cinderella Shoes look exactly the same as the ones in the photo above. However I've noticed that they now look different on The Disney Store website (different colour fluff and bow, doesn't have the large jewel, has a picture of Cinderella on the front of the shoes rather than inside of the shoes, no lattice effect).
The first pair of shoes I ordered had the photo above on the website, which I received. However the second pair I ordered had a photo of the other shoes. HOWEVER! I received the very same shoes (the ones above/the ones we previously received). Also, the description on the imposter shoes have the exact same description as our shoes...
Not really sure what's going on with the website but it looks as though you will receive the shoes pictured above (the ones I'm reviewing!), rather than the incorrect ones pictured on The Disney Store website. I much prefer the ones above though.
The Cinderella Shoes cost £12.00 which isn't a bad price really. They can be brought from The Disney Store or The Disney Store website.
The Disney Store Cinderella Shoes are beautiful, have great detail and are sure to please all little princesses. The fluff and the jewel on the front are so lovely and the heel is the perfect size for little ones to adore but also easy enough to walk in. The heel makes a 'clip clop' sound on hard floors which is an absolutely essential for 'high heels'! I also like the large picture of Cinderella inside of the shoe - you can't see Cinderella when the shoes are being worn, I personally don't like costumes with pictures of the person on - you want to be the person, not have pictures of the person on it! My daughter loves dressing up in all of her Cinderella gear and the shoes look brilliant with the dress. She's also been known to wear her Cinderella shoes with other dresses and dressing up outfits. She sometimes even totters around the house in her Cinderella shoes and normal clothes! I think they make her feel very grown up and ladylike...
The shoes have been in regular use for over 5 months now and are still in almost perfect condition. They seem very durable and I believe my daughter will grow out of them before they wear out. I don't really let her wear her shoes and out about (only to friends and families houses), they're more for dressing up fun indoors. I can imagine the fluff might get a bit messy if worn outside a lot (in the rain etc). My daughter can walk easily in them and says they're comfortable. I think the longest she's worn them for is about an hour. I doubt you would really want to wear them for any longer as they're made from plastic and would maybe start to rub.
The only real downside of these shoes is that the sizing is very big, you will definitely need to buy a size (maybe even two sizes) down.
I thoroughly recommend The Disney Store Cinderella Shoes to all!
