My daughter is a huge fan of the Disney Snow White film, so we got her the Snow White dress up outfit for her Birthday.

There are so many places you can buy the outfit from, but we got ours from Tesco.

Although my daughter is only 4, we bought her the age 5-6 costume, so it would last longer. It measures approx 33 inches long from shoulder seam to the hem and measures about 10 inches across the waist (so would fit up to waist size of about 20 inches).

The dress is made of polyester and has sequin and feather trim.
It fastens up the back with 3 velcro tabs.

The design of the dress is quite true to the Disney film - if a little more glamorous.
It has a big white collar around the neckline and light blue short puff sleeves with big red teardrop shapes stiched on.
The bodice of the dress is made of a dark blue thin velvet type of material, with a satin panel in the middle whin has a pattern of gold roses embossed on it.
At the top of the bodice is a heart shaped badge with Snow White's picture on it. The badge is surrounded by red feathers.
Directly beneath the badge at the bottom of the bodice is a red satin-effect bow.

The skirt part of the dress is satin effect, primarily pale yellow, with a dark blue scalloped overlay at the top. It has a short, stiff little underskirt inside, to make the dress stick out a little bit.

The dress also comes with a red cape, again made of polyester. The cape attaches to the dress at the shoulders, with little velcro tabs.

My daughter has worn this dress virtually every day for 4 months now, so it got very grubby. Although the washing instructions are to sponge clean only, I had no choice but to attempt to hand wash the dress. I was careful to avoid the trim and the feathers and it survived unscathed and looking almost new again.

This dress has been well worth the £20 we paid for it. We've got lots of dress up costumes, but this is by far my daughter's favourite. The design is very pretty and eye catching.

The Disney Store has versions of this dress, that are presumably better quality, but have a price tag to match. Personaly though I'm more than happy with the Tesco version.
