Great buy and great starter kit for younger children

I work as a childminder so am always on the lookout for reliable toys that are har wearing and won't cost a lot of money. The Peterkin Tool Carry case is an ideal product for me and has been a great hit with all the children I look after.

It is a tool kit which contains an adjustable spanner, saw, measuring stick, screw driver and hammer. It has a mini pretend wood work bench which has holes in it for using the screws and bolts that are provided.

The tools are all contained in a handy little plastic carry case which has a yellow base and a see-through plastic lid. It clips together fairly easily although some of the younger children do have difficulty closing it up. It has plenty of extra space inside the case if you want to add to your childs tool collection and the case is also handy for the kids to get used to tidying up.

All the tools are nice and chunky, a perfect size for little hands to grip onto. The measuring stick has centimeters and inches printed onto it which is handy for remember their numbers and the saw does actually sound like a saw when used against the work bench. The screws are easy to screw into the work bench, the only problem is that there are only 2 bolts. A few more would have been better in case of losing them.

This tool kit has been brilliant, the case is lightweight and easy to carry and the tools themselves are very robust, it has been a huge hit with the children and they spend ages role-playing as builders and customers. Works well when playing with building blocks as well.
