      A great bargain

I like to have a wander around the discount style stores and when I do if my daughter is with me she tends to buy herself a colouring book or some stickers with her pocket money. A couple of months ago we were in Poundland and she asked if she could buy herself these shoes for her dressing up box and although the thought of broken ankles were going through my head I allowed her to buy them.

These style of shoes are available in many places but at a much higher price than this pair since they were from Poundland I'm sure you can work out they were £1.

The shoes are made of hard plastic with a flexible rubbery piece which sits across the toes, there is a slight heel on the shoes about 2cms high. The plastic on the heel is pretty harsh so we sanded it down with sandpaper. The pair my daughter chose are pink in colour which I could have guaranteed is what she would pick as she is pink mad.

The shoes don't give any idea of what size child they are to fit but my daughter is a size 11 and I would say this is the maximum size that would be any good as they fit her perfectly but I'm not sure how small a foot they would fit although they are too big for my daughter who has size 5 feet.

My daughter has had these while now and she manages to walk in them perfectly well although I don't allow her to walk up and down stairs in them as that is sure to end in injury. These shoes are quite pretty as far as plastic shoes go and for the price she paid they are fantastic. My daughter loves that she has heels like Mammy and that she has pretty heels for when she dresses up, well recommended.

        Fantastic value dress up shoes

My mum has my daughter for a couple of hours over the weekend so that I get a break and can do the housework, have a rest in peace. She always gives my daughter £1 pocket money each weekend and when she takes her into town they often go to Poundland and come home with another rubbish toy that my daughters spent her pocket money on.

One thing that my daughter has chosen in the past is these glamour shoes from Poundland. They are very simply a dress up toy pair of shoes. They look the same as the Disney Princess dress up shoes you can get only miles cheaper as these ones only cost a single pound, one week's pocket money from my mum for my daughter.

The shoes are mainly made of plastic and have a fantastic quality despite being a Poundland product. The plastic is solid so there is no worry about whether they will snap or break in any way, shape or form. The main body of the shoes is pink in colour, nice and girly. My local Poundland have also started selling a black pair for Halloween. The shoes have a slight heel, approximately a couple of centimetres, it is chunky and has a nice shape so it supports the childs weight easily and doesn't make the shoes buckle to the side when wearing them. The shoes have a transparent plastic part that goes over the top of the foot, this has a little fabric bow detail to stop it looking so plain and secures the foot in the shoes well. My daughter has a child shoe size of 7 and there is still a couple of cm left at the back of the shoe when she is wearing them so she can still wear them for a long while yet without them getting too small.

My daughter will be three years old soon and she's had these shoes for around six months. Ever since she first got them she's been able to wear the shoes without any problems. She can walk well in them too. They feature in all dress up play and she doesn't wear her dress up dresses and outfits without these shoes too. The majority of the time my daughter is wearing these is when she is pushing her dolls pram and that is quite often so these shoes have been worn a lot. Despite an awful lot of wear, the shoes are still in a perfect condition and not showing any signs of excess wear and tear.

Most of the toy products from Poundland are pretty rubbish quality and I normally dread my mum bringing my daughter home with another useless plastic piece of rubbish. However, these shoes are definitely a gem and I would recommend them without a doubt. The quality of the shoes is amazing despite them only costing a pound. My daughter loves them and wears them a lot but they are still in a fantastic condition and will last ages.
