Not one for us but decent item

For some reason my eldest daughter has decided she is really into Power Rangers, she insists on watching the programme every weekend and she told us that the one thing she really wanted from Santa was a Power Rangers mask. Since the mask was the only item Sophie had actually asked for for Christmas I felt it may make her question Santa a little if she didn't get one and so set about finding her one.

I ended up buying the mask from Amazon and it cost me just short of £10 but that included free delivery so it wasn't too bad a price although really it is £10 on a piece of plastic that doesn't do anything. You can buy the masks in a number of different colours just like the Power Rangers on the show but Sophie has been very definite on the fact she wanted the red one so that is what I bought.

The mask came simply attached to a cardboard header with no actual packaging but it was well packaged within the box so there was no damage to it. The mask is simply a red piece of plastic in a sort of oval shape with two black areas to cover the eyes which you can see through but does make the room seem a little dark just like a pair of sunglasses. The front of the mask has detailing on it in black and grey just like how the Red power Ranger is so it is realistic to the show.

To put the mask on there is a piece of elastic on the back of it but the elastic is just one length with no way of adjustment although it does stretch a fair bit. I would say this would only really fit ages 5 and up as it only just fits my daughter who is 5 and she is of average size. The manufacturers state this is for ages 3 and up but I think it would just fall off a 3 year old.

Sophie was thrilled when she opened the mask on Christmas day and we had to put it straight on her, the mask fits her well and doesn't fall off and she didn't complain at all whilst wearing it so it must be comfortable too. Sophie wore the mask for about an hour and that is it, she hasn't picked up the mask since even when she is watching Power Rangers on TV and she is reminded of it she has no interest at all. I would say the mask is pretty good quality so if you have a true Power Rangers fan it would be a decent toy however for us it was a complete waste of money.
