Advantages: Style, Build Quality, Lens Quality

Disadvantages: Price

Well when it comes to sunglasses you certainly can.

I picked up a pair of Oakley Juliets while I was in the USA on holiday and let me tell you these are without a doubt the best pair of sunglasses I have ever owned.

Firstly there is the styling, these glasses just look incredibly cool no two ways about it. The range of lens and frame colours means there is a combination to suit everyone. I opted for the Plasma finished frame (silver) with the Fire lenses (yellow/orange) and whomever I have let try on the glasses seems to look good in them.

Secondly, the quality of construction, these glasses are built to last. The frames them selves are made of a titanium alloy, very strong and very lightweight these frames will not bend out of shape easily. The frame is adjustible as is actually a 25 piece construction incorperating temple shocks and replaceble nose bombs.
The fit around the head and more importantly the nose is amazing, once you have these glasses on they do not move, Oakley are renowned for making eyewear for extreme sports and you can see why when trying on these shades.
The lenses are equally impressive, being made of Plutonite and then coated in Iridium, this technology resulting in lenses that eliminate all the harmful rays but still leaving you with good, clear vision through the sunglasses.

For your money you get a box with a limited edition 'X-metal' coin, and a soft sleaning case.
If you're spending this much on shades you'll probably end investing in the Oakley vault a hard case that costs about £20.

Now we come to the only downside of Oakley shades, the price. Even buying in the USA with a favourable exchange rate these shades cost me £170 including the Vault.
In England you'd be paying more like £250 including the Vault. Rest assured though these are the only sunglasses you need ever buy.

In England you're more likely to pay £255 just for the shades! The RRP is £275!

£170 for a pair of shades!!! Good grief! I'm hard pushed to spend £3 on some and then I never wear them *grin*
