Advantages: Easy to use, good value

<<< The Problem >>>
Everyone knows about the dreaded VPL (Visible Panty Line) but what about the VBS (Visible Bra Strap)? Well Strap Trap is doing for bras what thongs did for tight trousers - but unlike thongs it's absolutely painless!

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that bra straps that slip off the shoulders are a major pain in the backside. Not only do visible bra straps look tacky and particularly hideous when the bra doesn't match the outfit, but more importantly who wants to be constantly pulling up their bra straps?

I used to dread the summer when the weather turned hot (OK, very rarely in England, but mainly whilst on holiday abroad!) and I wanted to wear vest or short-sleeved tops. My bra straps must have had some sort of affinity with my feet as they always headed south and hung off my shoulders like a big pair of droopy ears.

<<< The Solution >>>
Well Strap Trap has solved all of my problems! This little piece of well-designed plastic is such a simple but brilliant invention. You simply sew it into the inside shoulder seams of your garment using the 2 holes provided in the Strap Trap.

<<< How It Works >>>
After you've put your bra and top on, you take the bra strap and slip it inside the opening of the slot and once the strap is inside it is kept attached and aligned to the garment so that it won't come loose and fall down.
There is no need to completely undo the bra strap when you're attaching or detaching your bra from the Strap Trap.
The design of the Strap Trap allows the strap to slide within the slot, so that it moves as you move, thus it makes it very comfortable 'to wear' and you won't notice it's there. On a number of occasions I have totally forgotten I was wearing a top with Strap Traps, so I forgot to detach my bra and when I tried to take my top off my bra was still attached - cue the fiancé laughing at me getting into a tangled mess! But it is an absolute doddle to detach your bra, even when you have got yourself twisted up like an escapologist.

Strap Trap was mainly designed for use by bridal shops, couture dressmakers, alteration and repair specialists, and costume and dress designers. However, you don't have to be a master seamstress as it only takes a couple of stitches to fix them in place and even a novice like me can sew them on!

<<< Washing >>>
Strap Trap has survived the washing machine without any problems at all. The plastic material it is made from, Polypropylene, is designed to withstand temperatures up to 160°C and since the maximum temperature of the average washing machine is 90°C, you're safe washing Strap Traps.

<<< Pack Sizes >>>
They're available in black and white in different pack sizes:
* Retail Packs : contain 12 Strap Traps (6 Garments) choose all white or black & white

* Multi packs : contain 30 Strap Traps (15 garments) 18 white and 12 black

* Work room packs: contain 120 Strap Traps (60 garments) choose all white or all black

* You can also contact the company for wholesale orders.

<<< Cost >>>
The Retail Pack with delivery to the UK is only £4.50, which means you're only paying 75p per pair of Strap Traps, which I think is a very reasonable price for something that will instantly improve the look of an outfit and stop the annoying occurrence of droopy straps. Of course, the cost per Strap Trap goes down the more you buy which is good if you've got a lot of clothes!

<<< Delivery >>>
They deliver throughout the UK, the EU and also to Australia Canada, New Zealand and USA and postage is very clearly stated in the prices for each destination. Delivery to UK address was very quick.

<<< Website & Ordering >>>
The website isn't the fanciest in the world, but it is informative and fairly functional. The site is very easy to order from if you have a PayPal account, as when you click on a pack to order it automatically opens PayPal in another browser window and you can adjust the quantities in the PayPal basket. They also offer UK customers the option to pay by cheque or BACS, but the functionality of the website doesn't allow you to pay via these methods and I think you have to contact them.

Summary: An award winning solution for droopy bra straps.

Hi LaylaStar!

I'v e had no problem carrying a backpack as I've used Strap Trap in the tops I take on holiday. The 'hooks' of the Strap Trap keep the bra strap in place so it doesn't pop out.

I know sewing them in to all your tops is a pain and it would be fantastic if clothes manufacturers could do it for us, but that would give those poor sweat-shop workers so much more to do!

But it is a good solution if you want to make a special outfit perfect!

These look interesting.. (have one lovely old stroopy bra too..)
Am still not convinced to sew them into every garment either.. (and I suppose carrying a backpack or such is out of the order then..? so for 'lovely dresses' only.. hmm..)
I wonder if just a loop made of thread could do too? (possibly less handy but less likely to irritate skin too..?)
