Kids Boot sox
When I bought the Town and Country wellies for Little miss, i was pleased to find some welly socks as well, because I know that she sometimes doesn't like the top of wellingtons flapping about her legs. On this i have to agree because if legs are bare and then wellies are donned, the feel of the hard rubber on skin can hurt.
These socks are ideal. They come in colours which match the wellingtons- red blue and pink. Since we were buying the pink wellingtons, it seemed best to buy the pink socks. The socks are a nice thick fleece, which are made to be quite baggy so that they go over the top of any other socks which are being worn. Once they are put onto the feet and then pulled on, the top of the socks then folds down over the wellingtons, so the wellies become a much more snug and comfortable fit. The turn over has the Town and country logo, so you can do a bit of advertising or wear them inside out.
The socks are 100% polyester and are machine washable. They are available in a number of sizes; ours are size 11-13, and whilst little Miss is a 13, they are plenty big enough for her.
Made in China for Town and Country, the socks can be bought on line or at garden centres, and usually retail for around the £5 mark.
**Our thoughts...**
A really good buy. When we first got them, Little Miss was wearing a skirt and top, and when it started to rain (very heavily) she was able to wear wellies without feeling as though the tops were making her legs sore. It did look a tad eccentric in skirt and wellies but who am I to judge?
The socks are a lovely thick fleece, so we bought another pair and one pair she tends to wear in the house when her feet get chilly; the other pair is obviously kept with the wellingtons in the matching drawstring bag.
A great pair of comfort socks...i want some.
Thanks for reading.
