Boudoir London Print Chemise
by xxfoxyredxx
Just recently I have been having a huge clear out of clothing that either I don't like anymore, don't wear, have to admit looks awful on me or has seen better days....the outcome?...... I was pretty much left with not alot lol.
This has meant an overhaul of my clothing with the help of some second hand shops (I love those!) ... and places like Primark to help me stock up with however for a few more special items and to perk my cheaper stuff up a bit I turned to my catalogue and one thing I do like is nice underwear and nightwear so yep I did end up spending alot in Freemans in-particular and this nightdress (called in the catalogue a Chemise) cost me the princely sum of £40.00! I did inhale when I hit the buy now button and made up my mind that if it wasn't perfect in every way that it would be going back but I ended up really loving it and at the end of the day knew I'd be paying back in installments so I didn't feel so bad about it!
This is available to purchase in sizes 10-20 however at the time of writing this review they only have a size 18 in stock however this is an item not on any kind of offer so should be back in stock soon in all the other sizes and no matter the size you go for its length is 34 inches.
I bought this in a size 12 and was extremely thrilled with the sizing of it. It fits me lovely, hangs well and comes to a bit before my knees on my 5.8 inch frame, in a nice way and it certainly is lovely looking on and rather sophisticated looking and not trashy or too short in my humble opinion! Don't you just hate a bright pink cheap bow put on animal printed things!
Made from 100% polyester this is fully machine washable, tumble dry safe and ironing safe too...all of which I do but because this is a lightweight I shove it in with my light washing on a quick wash or a 30c wash then hang it on a hanger in my garden and it drives ever so quickly and crease and wrinkles drop out with ease.
So to the design of this! There is black almost zebra looking/animal print over white, a thick black and very soft meshy type of lace to the the v shape neckline and towards the bottom of the nightdress/chemise there is a matching band of the same lace. The straps are spaghetti style with the same animal print on as on the main of the garment and the hemline is trimmed in black cotton in a floaty almost scalloped sort of way so it isn't a straight hemline and is rather feminine. The back goes straight across, the v shaped neckline isn't too deep and the whole thing feels like silk and has a soft sheen to it and is therefore very soft against my skin.
I really do love this. I think it shows class, style and elegance as well as good being fantastic quality. Yes you can buy cheaper copies of this on the high-street or vice versa of course to be fair but this is stitched beautifully with no hanging threats, it washes beautifully and you can just tell it isn't a cheap item. It isn't clingy but it hangs lovely and all in all although I realise that this isn't a budget buy as such for the most of us this is a lovely treat for a woman of any age who appreciates good quality and the matching dressing gown is also available, maybe nice for a special occasion?!
Lovely, expensive....but worth it and if I had my time again....I'd buy it again because the price is worth how special it makes me feel with it on and thats what good clothing should do!

Asda George PU Trim Cardigan

Asda George PU Trim Cardigan
I love buying new clothes and following fashions but do not have the salary to shop on the high street and shopping centres every day and so whenever I am in store at Asda or I see a sale on their website that George at Asda has a sale on I always have to have a good look around.
I ... recently purchased this PU Trim Cardigan from Asda's website, I don't mind buying clothes from Asda online, because you get free in store delivery which is a very simple and quick service and you also get free returns to the store as well. I got my cardigan in the sale for £6 down from £12 and it is still available online now with some sizes out of stock, however it was available in sizes 8 - 24 and you can possibly find some of these in store.

The cardigan is just what I wanted for summertime, a light and airy throw on with anything item of clothing. Its base colour is black, but with subtle splashes of tiny dots of colour all over the black material which you don't really see from a distance. These are almost neon coloured with pinks, reds, greens, yellows and blues visible.
The cardigan is made out of 98% Cotton and 2% Polyester and as I have mentioned it is very light and is going to be really good for wearing in the summer. The cardigan is more like a mix of a shawl design, with three quarter length sleeves and a loose lying front. There are no buttons or zips on this garment as this is meant to be a floaty design. As such this is a loose fitting item and very comfortable.
On the shoulders is an Aztec style PU trim to collar which is made of quite a tacky and cheap plastic material but for the price I paid I don't mind. It looks very in fashion and gives the cardigan a bit more edge and a smarter appearance overall.
I don't think I will be wearing this next summer, but for £6 I am very impressed with this funky and fashionable cardigan from Asda and so I can highly recommend it. Read the complete review |

Lascana Short Negligee
by xxfoxyredxx
Recently looking through my nightwear I realised that my once lovely collection really needed a revamp! Not only did I have loads of ill fitting nightwear but because I washed and wore it so often it had become faded, misshapen and bobbled and the likes and I realised that since being single and moving I had pumped all my money into my ... home and not really on me and me and my clothing needed some tlc so I got rid of most of what I owned and decided that somehow I would be getting all new stuff!
I am not made of money however and live to a tight and strict budget like most of us do in these tough times. However I run a couple of catalogues which allows me to spread the cost of my payments and allows me to spend a little more on items to get more special stuff which I do occasionally.
Lascana is a brand that I have found and been buying for a while from my catalogues and I have never had any issues with the garments that I have bought and always found them worth the money which is why I bought this one as soon as I spotted it!
This is available in sizes 6-8, 10-12, 14-16 and 18-20 and is made from 95% Viscose and 5% Elastane and it is a fully washable, tumble dry and an iron safe item.
I bought this in a size 10-12 and like most of the nightdresses I have bought recently from my catalogues I find this the more upper of the size stated and this is more of a size 12 in my opinion.
The reason I bought this is because when I spotted the model in it I thought the whole look was sexy but still classy and a bit understated.
The main of the nightdress is white and is covered in matt black splodges/misshapen spots, the hemline, the slightly scooped v shaped neckline and armholes are finished with a soft and thin black lace. The back of the straps which are thin strips of black material do have fully adjustable little buckles to them which are easy to move and do not dig into my skin at all and the nightdress comes to quite above my knees on my 5.8inch frame though isn't undignified!
I love the softness of this material against my skin, it has a nice bit of natural give to it and washing and drying it are a dream and I've had no issues with giving this a quick iron either. It looks lovely on and it really is a quality and well made item this one and with this sort of pattern I think it can look tacky but this is so beautifully made that isn't the case with this at all and like I have already said I think this is classy and quite sophisticated even!
At £32.00 I guess this is a considered purchase, me though I think this is very worth its price tag because of the quality it is and how easy it is to take care of and it makes me feel great on as well!
